disclaimer; I don't own Ouran High School Host Club. Or Oscar Wilde. Or Valentine's Day. But I sure as hell wish I owned Kaoru Hitachiin.

dedication; For Sami, Fictions of Legends, because it's Valentine's Day and she loves the hell out of this pairing.

a/n; Yes, Ouran. Unpolished and unedited, so it probably reads a bit roughly. Oh well.

two songs just aren't enough

"The world has grown suspicious of anything that looks

like a happily married life." -Oscar Wilde

"I'm really confused," Hikaru mock-frowned at the girl in his arms. "Why are you dancing with me? It's your wedding."

Haruhi laughed. "Yeah, but the bride has to make her rounds, doesn't she?"

"True," he smirked, resting his forehead against hers. She pulled away and stuck her tongue out.

"Hikaru, I'm a married woman."

The twin in question rolled his eyes. "When has that ever stopped me?"

True, she thought, but didn't say aloud. He could read it on her face, anyway. He continued to twirl her around the dance floor, even after the song changed.

"Hikaru," Haruhi smiled up at him. "Your song ended. I really do need to dance with other people."

Hikaru pulled her in closer. "Not yet. Right now, you're all mine."

She knew better than to argue, so she just laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Why not enjoy the dance?

The song trailed off, and Haruhi broke away from Hikaru with a sigh. "You got two."

Before he could say that it wouldn't kill her to dance just one more song with him, his twin popped up, grinning widely.

"Can I have this dance, milady?" Kaoru asked dramatically, bowing.

"Sure," Haruhi took his hand, and he began to lead her away. Hikaru scowled.

At the look on his brother's face, Kaoru scoffed. "It's my turn. Besides, she's all yours later."

Haruhi looked back at Hikaru with a smile. His face broke into a wide grin. Kaoru laughed and started to dance with her.

"Hey, Haruhi!" Hikaru called over to the dancing pair. She looked over, happier than she'd been since he'd known her. He winked. "Your husband's a lucky guy!"

She laughed. "As is your wife!"

"His wife's a lucky guy?" Kaoru butted in with a smirk at the petite girl. Most of the wedding guests were now staring at the trio, as they were fairly loud despite the soft music.

"Well, you may remember that one time, in high school, where her gender was pretty ambiguous..."

Hikaru's smile was so big, it was hurting his cheeks. "Yeah, I vaguely recall that. But, she's definitely a beautiful woman tonight."

"White suits her," Kaoru agreed. Haruhi snorted.

It most certainly did.
