AN: Another EnvyXLust story. this one is very short and just popped into my head when I was scrutinizing episode 34 of the original anime called "Reunion of the Fallen". I don't know why, but this scene has just been stuck in my head since then and it was only now that I got it down on paper. Unlike "Destati" when I make a pairing like this I don't view the homunculi as siblings. Consider this an AU where Valor was never born is hasn't been born yet and just enjoy the love and fluff. Comments and criticism are appreciated.

"Can I eat him? Can I eat him?" Gluttony whined growing excited over the dead diner-keeper's corpse. Envy sighed. It was always the same thing every time: whenever he killed someone Gluttony always felt compelled to kindly clean up the mess.

"We did skip dessert," Envy said, rising from his seat on in the booth. The androgynous sin didn't bother reacting to Gluttony pouncing upon the dead man like a rabid coyote on a rabbit. He had seen it one too many times to care now. Envy placed his hands on his thin hips and met Lust's blank stare. "I'm leaving," he said in a monotonous tone. Suddenly, his demeanor changed and an all-too familiar glint flitted through his shimmering amethyst eyes. "But before I go . . ." Envy bent forward, placing one hand on the table's glossy surface and the other still glued to his hip. Lust blinked, uncertain of Envy's increasing proximity. She stared hard into his hypnotizing eyes even as the space between them was just an inch away. Even before it happened, Lust knew what her friend's intentions were.

That was when he kissed her. It was no more than a fleeting touch on the lips, but enough to cause the embodiment of fleshy desire to melt. Envy was surprisingly gentle, keeping his soft lips, two blushing pilgrims, glued to Lust's midnight-stained mouth. His hand moved from the hard curve of his hip to the smoothed curl of Lust's chin, pulling her closer until his nose brushed the porcelain of her cheek.

Lust's maroon eyes widened in shock and confusion, but gradually relaxed into the kiss, the outer windows to her hidden spirit closing shut.

Envy broke away only a second later. His lazy, catlike eyes opened, just as hazy and wonderfully beautiful as the ones that stared back at him. Lust, aroused, moved to capture his lips again, but envy was wise to her. The pink mound of soft skin pooled at the tip of his finger made its to the lips that desperately wanted something more, something better and tasting of tangy jealousy, and smoothed their curves and rounds like a lover his loved. Lust sighed inwardly and decided that would have to do. A finger's kiss was better than no kiss at all. Envy smirked. Maybe this kiss wasn't just a random spur of the moment or a hidden desire breaking free after being suppressed for so long. Maybe, Envy thought; just maybe it was something more.

"See ya outside," he said, walking out of the cool diner and into the hot afternoon streets. Although, he thought, that may not be the only place I see you.

An: Think whatever you like with that last line there. Can you tell where I used some "Romeo and Juliet" line? I'm forced to study it in school and it's kind of getting to me. I don't know why I have to read it - it's not like i understand the thing anyways all there are is a bunch of "thous" and whatnot. the only thing i can make out are the people's names and I don't know what happened until someone point-blank says that "so and so killed that person or so and so got married". Jeez Louise! Translate some of that stuff into modern language and then we'll talk.
