EDIT: I should probably mention that Rwbyknight started writing his story, "Aura Unova Adventure", looooong before I wrote this chapter (he did ask me for permission to write his own sequel and I gave him the go ahead). So if there're inconsistencies, that's why.

Author: You can thank Sun and Moon for this (bringing back Anabel was a heck of move), and all the e-mail's I'm still getting about readers fav'ing it, THANK YOU ALL!

"No way!" The young trainer cries as his Pokemon is knocked out.

"Hehehe," his opponent, a well-dressed young woman with bright purple hair giggles. "You did great though."

"Return," the trainer calls back his Pokemon. "You Frontier Brains are tough."

"We wouldn't be Frontier Brains otherwise," the woman smiles as she took out a Pokeball. "Come back, my friend."

"I'll get stronger, and I'll be back Tower Maiden Anabel!"

"I'll be waiting," Anabel waves farewell to the challenger. As the challenger left, she sighed. "They're definitely getting stronger. It's getting harder to keep up."

With no new visitors, she returned to her day to day routine. The Pokemon she battled with she allowed to rest, while the rest willingly help her around the tower and around her home. Some Pokemon clean, some tend to the garden, some gather resources as Anabel readies food for her Pokemon.

"Come and get it!" she calls out to her friends, setting down bowls for everyone. She smiles and sits under a tree nearby, bringing out her own meal. The trainer and her friends enjoy their time together eating their meals. Espeon, Alakazam, Metagross, Starmie, Froslass and a blue Gardevoir are comfortably eating the home cooked lunch.

Her cellphone rings, disrupting the atmosphere. She pulls it out, "It's Professor Oak. Hello."

"Hey Anabel, how are you doing?"

"Oh same old same old. I had a challenger today though."

"Was it difficult?"

"He brought me down to my last Pokemon, but I managed to beat him. It never ceases to amaze me how strong some of these trainers have become."

"Yeah, they're definitely a whole new generation than the ones we grew up with. Speaking of stronger trainers. Today's the Championship challenge match. It's going to start in a few hours."

"Oh, it is?" Anabel's eyes perked up. "I had almost forgotten."

"Heh, the days must really pass you by over there. I was just making sure you know, I know you don't want to miss this one."

"Never," Anabel smirks closing her eyes and shaking her head. "Not this one. I wouldn't forgive myself if I did. Thanks for the reminder Gary."

"No problem!" Professor Oak salutes. "Still, it's hard to believe that they've made it up to a Championship match already."

"I know what you mean. It hasn't been that long since I last saw them, but still, they've gone so far so fast."

"It's practically a record," Gary states. "Tell me, what do you think of their chances?"

"They're strong alright, in more ways than one. I'm sure they'll pull through."

"Going through all those leagues really toughened them up, and I should know. The Pokemon I'm taking care of here are unbelievably strong."

"How are the Pokemon doing over there?"

"They were really excited when I told them the news, I'm going to have to put a projector out on the field for them to watch it."

"Hahaha, please do, I'm sure they'll appreciate it. I should clean up now so that I can watch it."

"Right, see you later."

"See you."

Anabel walks around, taking the bowls after the Pokemon are done eating. Espeon psychically collects the laundry, Metagross and Alakazam tends the small berry field, Starmie, Froslass and Gardevoir help tidy the house. Anabel turns on the TV while setting up the room for her Pokemon to watch with her, barring Metagross who needs to watch through a window. Cleaning up the room, she comes across a picture, it had her and Espeon with Ash and Pikachu, she smiles as she looked at Ash's goofy grin.

"It's almost time," she says to herself while she placed a finger on his picture's cheek. "What will you do?"

The TV had a pre-battle special coverage where a brief history of the challenging trainer is summarized. Growing up in the Kanto region, traveling Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova, taking part in their leagues but never winning them. However, the challenger returned, won the League tournament, battled through the Elite Four, and is now facing the Kanto League Champion. The sportscasters and whatever guests they managed to gather all analyzing and predicting things that could happen during the battle, and some of them have battled the challenger personally. Many were unsure how the battle would go, citing stuff like previous victories and losses, surprising tactics and trust between trainer and mons. Essentially they put the challenger on even ground with the Champion, which all agreed will make for an interesting match.

Anabel finished as many tasks as soon as possible before the combatants walk onto the field. The Kanto champion came out first, with a familiar silhouette of a young man wearing a cap, open short sleeve jacket, spiky hair and a Pikachu on his shoulder. Anabel could only smile. The challenger was next, dressed up a little more refined than the champion, sporting a similar look but with brighter colors, a jacket, a cap with a low back length ponytail out the back, with a Jolteon walking alongside.

"I've been waiting for this," the champion smiles at his challenger.

"Pika!" the Pikachu on his shoulder greets them then sparks his cheeks with a battle ready smirk.

"Me too," the challenger responds. "It's taken me a long time just to get this far, so I'm going to fight with all the strength I have."

"I wouldn't want it any other way," the Champion praises her. "With the friendship you have with your Pokemon and your ability as a trainer, I'll have no choice but to go all out with every move! Let's go!"

Anabel smiles as she watches the call out their first Pokemon. Both look extremely powerful and are raring to go, no sooner did the judge call to start the battle did the arena explode from the first attacks. Elsewhere in the room was a picture, of Anabel and Espeon, with Ash and Pikachu, and a young girl holding an Eevee. The very same young girl that is now challenging the Kanto Champion.
