Echidna let the door close on its own behind her as she made her way up the stairs. As she was walking up the stairs to tell Crimson what she had discussed with Volt, the old memories came up to the surface of her mind.

Kaldea was sitting in her usual room, the library. The only room that seemed to calm her. She hated all the other buildings and places that had Mikado. She hated that label with a passion, but when she joined them she didn't have a choice. Her life was on the line. No doctors could find her disease, let alone a cure for it. That caused her to wonder a bit before finally deciding on Mikado company. They had all the high tech and lab equipment in the world. So that seemed like the best idea at the time, but after slowing seeing behind the scenes, she knew that she wouldn't have joined if she knew that first. Than there was the other problem that she found a month after everything cleared. She sighed as she dropped her hand on her stomach. There inside moving was life. Something she never expected to discover. She knew who the father was, Sion. The only man she loved and it broke her heart that she had to leave him the way she did. It was better if he never knew..Never knew what experiments that they had to do to keep her alive and healthy. Enchida didn't approach her at first. She could tell that Kaleda was deep in thought, but she was curious about it. Curiosity was her bad habit that always lead her into trouble. Kaldea always choose the large window that let you see the city in full view. The city itself was nothing special, but she seemed to like how city light up at night. Slowly Echida approached Kaldea.

"What are you thinking about that is causing so many wrinkles?"

Kaldea clearly didn't hear Echida approach her as she nearly jumped all the way to the high ceiling. Once the shock wore off she smiled softly and slowly.

"I-I don't know what you mean."

Enchida sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

This is irritating. I can tell when people lie. I especially hate it when people lie straight to my face.

slowly counting to 5 before replying, "Kaldea I have a very good bullshit meter and right now it is a high ten. So do you care to tell me what you are thinking?"

Kaldea sighed as she adjusted her hands on her stomach where she could feel the baby moving around. She knew if Mikado heard anything about being pregnant, being true or not, they would do everything in their power to make sure that the baby was their property. She couldn't do that to her and Sion's child. The baby was too innocent to be turned evil. Mikado group started turning the people young, extremely young. Either as a baby where they can adjust certain DNA to make them into any type of weapon they choose or old enough to understand their lessons. Though Enchida wasn't a bad person and they have grown rather close..so maybe she could help without her knowing with what. The less knew the better. But her heart hurt. It would mean she would have to leave the baby completely, without anything or knowledge of the parents. She forced back the tears threatening to spill before turning to Enchida.

"I'm pregnant and I want your help in protecting the baby."

In truth Enchida never thought about dealing or having kids, but a long time ago she did want them with a special man. But that dream was spoiled when he decided to betray her. It left a bitter taste in her mouth. But in all the years that Enchida has worked beside Kaldea, she has never asked for her help in anything. If she was asking for Enchida help she must have become very desperate. When you become that desperate you will look at the very least options that you would never consider when your clear. And she was not a friendly helper type. Enchida leaned against the wall as she looked outside the window Kaldea looked at. It was a nice view especially at night with the snow fall. Kaldea leaned back as she gently closed her eyes listening to the quiet night. She always liked the nigh time, made her feel calm and relaxed.

"I know you must think it is crazy for me to ask of your help, but I'm running out of time."

"Than the due date is soon, I am guessing?"

"Yes...I want to have the baby. The baby deserve to have a chance, not tossed away."

A chance. Yes, people do deserve that, no matter what the fuck up situations are.

"I'll help you, but how are you going to have the baby? We can't have you deliver it here."

"I know. We need to make Mikado send us on a long mission. A recon mission. That way I can deliver the baby in a safe place and than give the baby to a good orphan."

Enchida smiled before replying, "Now I see why you asked for my help. I'm good at getting my way and delivering things."

"Yes and much more than that Enchida. I trust you completely."

"Well than shall we get started? Oh by the way who is the father?"

"A very special man. Lets just leave it at that for now. I don't wish to get him involve with the Mikado group if I can help it. I have already destroyed way too much of his happiness."

"Ah, one of those goofy lover boy types."

"You could say that."

Within a week Enchida was able to secure a recon mission in a nice quite village. The days were peaceful and joyful. They kept feeding Mikado false believable information so they wouldn't be suspicious. Enchida helped with every step and didn't complain. The day the baby came, which was a lovely girl Kaldea heart grew heavy as she knew what she had to do. Enchida held her hand on the way back to the plane. They decided that they would take separate planes so she wouldn't back down or decide to give Enchida her baby girl. They told Mikado that they got two set of information that was both useful, so they had to separate to confirm. It took Kaldea weeks to return to Mikado building which Enchida knew that she would take her time in doing her business. But when she returned she could see her sorrowful eyes. Kaldea soul became cold with walls rebuilt up to avoid the stabbing pain she felt with every walk. She remained in silence of this adventure.

Enchida mind whirled back to reality as she climbed the stair up to the top floor. The girl has finally manged to turn herself back into her wolf form and re-positioned herself on Dominique. Sion was asleep on the chair as Kou watched from the side. Volt was near the bottom of the stairs in the dark corner just in case Sion went off the handle. Volt was one of the few people who could restrain Sion. Crimson was lounging on the railing looking out across the floor. Enchida walked over to Crimson.

"I decided to take only you along. It shouldn't be a hard mission, so I don't see the need to take extra people."

"You are sure that the place is completely abandoned after the mess we left there last time?"

"I kept tabs on Mikado old, new, and whatever news they appear in. Call it a side interest, but I do still would do anything for Kaldea. I actually saw her as a sister. Despite what people may think in that company, we did get along."

"I'm glad. She was a great person from everything I have heard and the little time I was able to spend with her."

Enchida smiled.

"I'll make sure we will kill the mission. I'll also ask Kou for radio backup just in case. With his connections that will help."

"What time we are leaving than?"

"Before Dawn. I figure the earlier the better. So how are we going to keep Sion busy?"

A sly grin appeared on Crimson face.

"I'm going to leave that up to our trusty Volt."

Enchida laughed as she replied, "That is perfect. It will keep him busy enough that he won't notice what we are actually doing. Plus add some of Volt's special annoying."

"Yep."

"I'll come and get you in the morning."

With that all said and planned everyone went their ways to do what needs to be done.
