[A/n:] If you're a regular reader of mine and you're reading this thinking it'll be some awesomely sadistic pairing.. nope. I wish I could safetly put in a miscarrige, but this was written to deadpan a friend of mine. So turn around if you don't like WAFFs.

Enjoy

He looked in the standing mirror, arching his back while placing his hands on his hips. No bump yet.. Then again, he was only a month or so into it. He was definitly a bit heavier, but there was no baby bump. He frowned, until a pair of arms wrapped around his waist.

He leaned into the other man, smiling contently. They didn't plan it, but this baby wouldn't be an accident. There was no way to describe how his body worked, but they didn't care. They were happy.. Kyo laced fingers with Yuki, kissing his cheek.

As the months went on, Yuki's obsession with the mirror grew just as his belly did. He finally got his bump at four months. A small one, but it was prominent. Hatori had given him a due date for a c-section, and had told them the baby would be a girl.

A girl.. A small baby girl.

Yuki thought for endless hours on what she'd look like. Would she have his eyes? He hoped so.. Big purple eyes.. Kyo's orange hair.. Hatori said she'd be small, so Yuki worried if he'd been eating enough. He decorated the baby's room in soft pinks and yellow. The crib's mobile was zodiac themed, with a cat added to the middle in replace of God.

Kyo would constantly tell Yuki the baby was going to be a boy, and how Hatori was just a quack. But he knew it was a girl. He couldn't wait for her to come into the world. The idea of being a father did scare him at times, but if he had Yuki.. Maybe he could do this.

Time seemed to fly by, and Yuki's due date was approaching. The Sohmas threw the most wonderful babyshower. Each of them had brought a gift. Even Ou and Hana came, to feel Yuki's swollen belly and wish him luck. The stars shined so bright that night, and even though the party ended the feeling of welcome for the baby still lingered.

Then the day came. Kyo paced outside in the waiting room from start to finish. Tohru, Shigure, and the rest of the Sohmas waited on baited breath. Most congradulated Kyo, but many of them were too excited to see the baby. Kyo was thoroughly upset he wasn't there to see his daughter born, but he'd wait.

It was late at night when Hatori came out from the birthing room, a smile on his face.

"You may see your daughter, Kyo."

His eyes widened. He had been planning on this moment. He'd run in and scoop the newborn into his arms, and try to keep from crying. But when the moment came, he couldn't find energy to run. He walked into the room slowly, the moonlight glittering over the image of an exhausted Yuki and a crying newborn.

[A/n2:] I'm so NOT doing another waff. They're nice to read, but if you read my other stuff it's so opposite of this you'd wonder who hacked my account and wrote this.

I so wanted the baby to be a still-born or something. Yeah, I know, that'd horrible, BUT IMAGE THE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE IT'D DO TO YUKI AND KYO.

I'm done. Don't expect another one of these from me.
