This is written for Stef and Amber, Stef because I told her I'd do something like this, and Amber because I just published a fic with spoilers that she can't read.

"I am wondering, why are you here?"
"I'm looking for someone."
"Looking? Found someone, you have, I would say, hmmm?"
"Right..."
"Help you I can. Yes, mmmm."
"Oh…I don't think so. I'm looking for a great warrior."
"Ohhh. Great warrior. Wars not make one great."

"I'm confused," Penny said. "I thought that he was Yoda."

"He is," Leonard said. "He's just testing Luke's patience. He wants to see if he can overcome his age to be trained as a Jedi."

"How old is he?" She leaned forward to take some popcorn from the bowl. "He's not that old, is he?"

"He's about 22," Leonard told her, "but children with a high midi-chlorian count are taken from their families as babies, almost newborns, to be trained as Jedi. Anakin was nine, and that time with his mother allowed him to form disliking for some people, or some groups of people, and he already had emotional attachments. That, quite obviously, stayed with him and hindered his chances to remain a Jedi and resist the pull of the Dark Side. Luke being in his twenties, and attached to Han, Leia, and Chewbacca, could pose a threat to the Rebels, instead of being a valuable contributor."

"Luke wouldn't turn to the Dark Side," Penny said. "He'd never do that."

"Well, considering you already know what happens…"

"Hanging around with you guys is like constantly being told Science Fiction spoilers," she said with a laugh. Penny rested her head back on Leonard's shoulder and continued to watch. She'd already known about Luke's age, and Yoda testing Luke, but she just loved hearing Leonard explain it to her. His face lit up when she showed an interest, and he didn't mind explaining things more than once.

"Don't you wish you could just use the Force to move things?" Leonard asked her minutes later, while Yoda was trying to convince Luke that he could pull his ship out of the slime. "It would be so convenient; we could change the path of asteroids plummeting toward Earth, I could get my time machine back…"

"Those are really big things to move with the Force."

"You can move whatever you want with the Force," Leonard told her.

"Cool," she said sincerely.

They watched as Yoda told Luke to use the Force and move his ship. "All right, I'll give it a try."

"No," Yoda said. "Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try."

Penny was beginning to love Star Wars.
