Disclaimer// I do not Own any part of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Dear Mr Rick Riordan does.

After the Winter solstice meeting had ended and everyone went on to continue the party in honor of the heroes, Artemis had slipped away from the group. The whole ordeal has come quickly and as much as she would have liked to congratulate the demi-gods for not only saving Olympus, but also thank them for her own saving. She'd never admit it of course but she did in fact owe it to Percy and his friends. She walked out of the temple and into the garden, just glad for the solitude that the area gave her.

She walked out to the center of the peaceful garden and looked up. The one constellation shining the brightest in the sky made her frown, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. Zoë, Her most beloved friend and lieutenant. She gently wiped her eyes and looked away before the sight totally made her break, her form altering back to that of a woman.

Atlas had to pay for what he had done, but knowing the only punishment for him was already enacted on him made her clench her fists. He had taken a lot in so little time. Bianca, a young girl newly pledged to the Goddess of the Hunt, had disappeared according to Percy Jackson. A pity really, Artemis had never gotten to learn from her or learn to like her. She gave a rough sigh and sat down on the fountain in the center of the grove. Zoë and Bianca…Both in her charge and she let both of them go. She lifted her legs to the fountain and pulled them against herself, her eyes finally letting the tears fully fall as she sobbed, her mind recalling the last week.

Through her crying and solitude Artemis's awareness about her had dimmed, so the shadow watching her from the doorway was ignored. Standing there watching his daughter in her weak moment, Zeus froze. His eyes softened at the sight as he turned his head from the goddess to the stars. He frowned as he saw the newest star group shining and looked back down. The past week had been rough on her he knew that, but since she came back, Zeus could tell even his daughter, who feigned calmness, had wanted to break away.

He looked at the huddled figure his frown deepening. Finally he stepped out in to the garden and walked over to sit next to her. His hand gently reached out and touched the fragile goddess and rubbed her back lightly. "Artemis, Darling…."

Hearing his voice Artemis sobbed again, but still lifted her head, her hand running to wipe the tears away from her eyes. She looked to him and gave a half smile. "Yes, Father?" She did her best to make herself look okay as one of the two men she would ever love sat there. Hearing his deep sigh and feeling his hands wrap around her pulling her into a hug, she unconsciously reverted to her childish form, as he easily sat her upon his lap.

"I'm glad you're back my daughter…" He sighed as his lips gently brushed against her hair. Her head pressed into his chest as she hugged him tightly. "Everything is alright now, you know that?"

She gave up trying to be strong and started to sob into his pin stripe suit. His hand ran over her back letting her know it was okay to let it out. The whole ordeal with Atlas really had taken its toll on her, he noticed. He pulled her even closer as her tears subsided. After a moment he looked down at her and noticed her calm features. She had fallen asleep, deeper then he had ever seen her. Giving a small smile he held her to him and kissing her forehead. "Sleep well my Huntress…"
