"One hit?" Natalia asked, almost whining.
"And fourteen misses." Ryan answered her. Ever though it was her aim, he felt a bit bad for her.
"Don't tell anyone how bad I am" Natalia sighed.
"Don't tell anyone I work here" Ryan retorted.
"Deal" Natalia said, taking off her protective goggles and ear protection.
"Deal." he said and when he turned around, Natalia walking towards her car.
"Natalia!" Ryan called out. He thought she was going to try agian. Natalia whipped around
"What?" She asked, walking back towards where Ryan was stand..
"Don't you want to try again?" Ryan asked.
"Trying to teach me how to shoot is a waste of rounds and time." Natalia said. "I'm heading back to the lab- " But Ryan interrupted her.
"Paractice takes makes perfect." Ryan said. "You have made one shot."
"Yeah, one shot!" Natalia scoffed. "That's like what? A 10 percent batting average?" Natalia exclaimed. She knew nothing about baseball, and realized she had once again made a fool of herself in front of Ryan.
"Batting average is not computed like that." Ryan chuckled. "And what? You wanna be like Valera running samples all day?" He exclaimed, and Natalia glared at him.
"Fine." Natalia set her purse down. "But there's not going to be any progress." Natalia said, taking the eye and ear protection of the counter.
"Ah, you don't know the future." Ryan wagged his finger at her, while he loaded the gun.
"I know my luck." Natalia sighed. "And I've never shot a gun in my life, until this test."
"What?" Ryan gaped at her. "Seriously?"
"I've run DNA all my life. Now shut up or your little secret will be in the lab." Natalia said, baring her teeth. Ryan waso ne person that could push her buttons while still being nice.
"And so will yours" Ryan grinned. "Now if you can stop the small talk, we could get to practice"
45 minutes later~
"7 hits." Ryan said.
"What? No that's impossible." Natalia said, shaking her head.
"See the evidence yourself." He thrust the paper under Natalia's face. "See told ya." Ryan grinned, and recieved a smack on the arm.
"Thank you for helping me." Natalia said, walking to the counter before Ryan was able to, and signing out. "Thank you again." Natalia smiled lightly.
Natalia was about 50 feet from the ocunter when he heard Ryan's voice call out.
"WHAT NOW?" Natalia roared, making Ryan only shrink, and not move.
"Um, I'm on break in about 5 minutes. You wanna go have lunch?" Ryan asked, sheepishly.
"Excuse me?" Natalia barked.
"No as date I mean. As friends. Just to say thank you for helping me with the paperwork." Ryan said. "Not that we found anything in there." He added under hus breath.
Natalia looked at him, choosing over her choices. Either it was a) accept the anti date date, or b) Not accpet it and be taunted by him for the rest of the time he was working here. She went with a.
"Okay fine." Natalia nodded
