Just finished the movie. I've never played the game.

Dastan stared at her for another moment. "You don't remember anything." Tamina was caught off guard.

"I'm sorry." Dastan began to cup her face, but scared by his inappropriate yet soft touch, Tamina turned away. Dastan stood his ground.

"No. I'm sorry. I…I…" Dastan sat down on the fountain with his head in his hands. "You must think I'm crazy."

Tamina sat next to him, linking her arm in his. "Tell me." Dastan laughed.

"Princess, I have used the dagger, and I have seen what it was like to lose you. I have seen the sands of time, and they're destruction. I have kissed your lips, and I cannot wait for the moment I can kiss them again." Tamina blinked, taken aback. "I have no proof. I don't know why you should believe me, but I happen to believe that you felt the same for me as I do for you. Is it wrong that I cannot wait for us to resume our old relationship?" Tamina was not mad.

"The old relationship that I know nothing about." Dastan held back a frustrated scream.

"Yes." Tamina reached for his hand. "I know Princess, it is unfair. You do not know me, yet I know you. I love you." Tamina sucked in a breath. Dastan held her stare. "I love you."

"Dastan, I trust you. No one knew about the dagger except my most trusted advisors. They wouldn't have told you of its power, for even they did not know the extent of the damage that it could do. I'm sorry; I cannot be the woman you wish me to be, but I will…try…You are an honest man Dastan. I can feel it. If I fell in love with you in one life, I will fall in love with you again. I promise you." Dastan cupped her face, drawing her to him. He paused with his face inches to hers, waiting to gauge her reaction. She closed the distance between the pair, kissing him on the lips, slowly, tentatively. It was their first kiss, technically.

The kiss ended, and Dastan rested his forehead on the Princess'.

"I'm assuming we've done that before." Tamina asked, looking up into Dastan's eyes. Dastan smiled.

"Just the once." Dastan's eyes faded. He was remembering the past, a past that never happened. "It was minutes before you died."

If Tamina was frightened, she didn't show it. "You could not save me, fair prince?"

"You didn't want me to. You said I needed to protect the dagger, save the planet. You said it wasn't your destiny. It was mine." Dastan held her hand tighter.

Slowly, Tamina stroked his cheek. "Dear Dastan, I am alive, and all is well. We are together."

"Does this mean you accept my proposal?"

"I don't remember you proposing. I remember your brother offering peace in the form of marriage. There was no proposal, Prince. It was a diplomatic proposition."

"Is that so? Alright then. Princess Tamina of Alamut, will you be my wife?"

Tamina thought about it for a moment. "Why would I agree to that?"

Dastan cupped her face. "So we could have all the time in the world."

The couple met in a passionate kiss, sealing their fates.
