It was a quarter after one and Annabeth needed Percy. But, she said she wouldn't call or anything like that. Besides, she did have a huge Math final to study for, that's why she was staying up so late. She knew she would regret it in the morning, but it would be totally worth it when she pulled an A on it. However, talking Percy would help a lot, just even a little to get her out of this fog of stress. She could call him over the telephone or Iris Message him, but a intruding thought popped into her head...Percy would be in school right now, since he was living in New York and she San Francisco. She sighed longingly and put her face in her book, buried in defeat. Why did he have to live so far away? The distance was absolutely killing her...oh gods, she really needed him now. Oh, who cares! She was going to talk to him one way or another. She picked up her cell phone and texted him.

It wasn't until a couple of minutes later that he responded,

"Annabeth, shouldn't you be asleep by now? Hah, you guess I could say the same, since I'm in math class right now." Annabeth laughed tiredly and responded.

"Seaweed Brain, did you just totally forget that I have a huge Math Final tomorrow?"

"Ah...that explains so much, Wise Girl. Only you would stay up this late to study." Annabeth rolled her eyes; she could just feel his grin through the text. It was true, even though she wouldn't admit it.

"Oh shut up, you're just jealous that I'll pass and you won't...or at least I have the brain capacity to understand it." She smirked and hit the send button. Her phone came to life and she picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey." Percy's voice came up.

"Oh hey, I should've known it was you."

"Yeah, you should've but I'm just that sneaky." Annabeth laughed and rolled her eyes.

"So, why'd you text me?" Percy asked in the middle of Annabeth's laughter.

"Hm? Oh...I...uh..."

"Wise Girl, I don't have all day." Percy said. Annabeth whispered back her reply.

"I missed you."

Percy froze at the other end of the line. She's never said that before. He tried to conjure up some words, but that was impossible when the girl of yours dreams said that she missed you. He tried his best.

"Uh...uh...thanks?" He said. Annabeth burst out laughing.

"What? What did I do now?"

"Noth...nothing, Percy. I just can't believe you're thanking me for missing you." Annabeth said in between breaths.

"Well...what else could I say?" Percy asked, a little frustrated.

"I don't know. I wasn't really expecting you to say anything."

"Oh." Percy said.

"Yeah."

"Well, I need to go back to class."

"Oh, right. I need to get back to studying." Percy rolled his eyes when he heard Annabeth say that.

"Alright, bye."

"Bye." Annabeth said.

"Oh...and Annabeth?"

"Yeah?"

"I miss you too." Percy said and hung up, leaving Annabeth speechless but happy.
