The tombstone sat alone in the cemetery, covered in moss and mould. It had been there for nearly a hundred years. Every day, a young woman, dark haired and dark eyed, dressed in black, kneeled down in front of it, eyes closed, no emotions on her face.

It was the tear that gave her away.

One tear was all she allowed herself to shed. It was full of pain and longing. Heartbreak and love. It was shed for the words that she had left unsaid.

Today was different. The woman kneeled down in front of the tombstone, her fingers delicately tracing the name. She didn't shed that tear. In her hand, a gun. A revolver that she had seen him use so many times, defending himself and her. The woman held it to her temple, smiling. "I love you," she whispered.

The bang echoed through the cemetery. No-one heard it, though.
