Shinjiru: 'Shinjiru' is a verb which can mean quite a few things: 'to trust' and 'to believe in' being the primary ones. The related noun, 'shinjitsu' can mean 'truth', 'honesty', and 'faithfulness'. All of these are important, desirable traits, so it's no wonder that they show up so often in fiction…or that they're abundant in so many of the best (though perhaps not the flashiest) heroes.

Yuugi's still shy, but he's also really excited, his grin big as he shows her his toy. "It's a puzzle; see, you fit these pieces into the box until they're all in neatly…"

Looking down at the plastic pieces, Anzu frowns a bit. "But the box is smaller than the pieces…"

"That's the point!" Yuugi says, still smiling. "It's called a 'tangram'. I promise, they'll fit. Would you like to try it out?"

Yuugi looks across his desk at her, trust in his eyes, even though most of the kids who've looked at his games before probably just stole or broke them. Anzu doesn't know why they'd do that, besides maybe because they're idiots. Yuugi's so nice, after all. Really, she wishes she'd thought to talk to him before.

"I'd love to," Anzu says, smiling back.
