note: I wrote this story millions of times until I got this. My muse left me. Traitor. It is the first of three in my little Peter Pan Arc. Anyways through the blood, sweat and tears the operation was successful. Though there may be minor defects, but that is to be expected, without the muse, our head doctor, we had some problems, but we managed. Sorta.
thanks: many blessings go to Coldplay whose song the scientist inspired this. And so did a night on the couch.
note's note: Spain won.

"Lyra. You won't forget me will you?
"Me? Forget Eusine? Never."
"You say that every time."
"But I can feel it. Next time, I will remember."
"I know you will."
And if I don't you can tell me stories about me."
"About us."
"About us."

You were breaking and she was forgetting. She wasn't supposed to forget, if you only stood there with her for one more moment, maybe she would be here, remembering. But did it matter? She will come to love you again, she always done that.
When you first met, she was an insignificant little girl, who happened to be recognized by Suicune. As you look back on the meeting you suppose it was fate. Always running into Suicune and her, and somewhere along those chance meetings you realized you loved her.
And you can recall moments when she would visit you, in your house in Cerulean, swinging her legs childishly as she waited for you to come one on your bench. She would laugh and smile, as passing trainers took note of her and demanded a battle which she agreed to. And once she won, she would jump in your arms and you would spin her around, like a princess. It was love.
Love…
It was a hypocritical emotion, that thing called love. One moment, it could lead you to a field of innocence and beauty, where all you can here are the laughter of nymphs and wood sprites but in the next moment you'll be lying on the ground bleeding your heart out, unable to scream in a place akin to Death Valley.
And you hate it.
Because as soon as those words of love are spoken, you just want the entire thing to be over, because you can't stand this. Because she will leave you in the end, and then it will restart, and having history repeat is carving pain into your heart with all these memories. You just felt like forgetting her too, and traveling far away where other legendary pokémon reside, somewhere else just to make you forget. And you tried to forget, you really did, but…
It burned.
The first attempt or two, but then you remember her. You are doing this for her, because one day it will stop and you won't have to restart anymore. It wasn't a game, it was a life. It was your life with her, and your life with her was gone. Once again. But you need that moment back.
And half the time she wouldn't even realize it was happening herself, she would just wave you goodbye and fly back home, where she would leave all her pokémon somewhere and just restart. She erased the past, and kept going on in this endless cycle.
As you waited in Bell Tower, waiting for her to defeat Whitney and her monster of a miltank, she comes in just like a breath of fresh air, only to go to the red head in front of her and battle. Only this time, the battle ends with a kiss.
And you think, smiling sadly that maybe it was time for change.
-Because true love can't last forever, if the princess can't remember her love-
the end.
