In the dark abyss of eternity the Thousand Years Protector slumbered deep inside her crystal coffin. Slowly cracks began to appear throughout the coffin.

'Arise guardian. You're presence is needed once more.' A disembodied voice spoke.

The crystal coffin shattered. Kamui slowly opened her eyes.

'Hello again Protector. I have broken your seal because you are needed once more.' The voice said to her.

'Timekeeper Anutpada, what has happened to warrant this action?' Kamui asked.

'The barrier that separates the Elemental world from the human world has been threatened. If we do not act fast, both planets will merge together killing the creatures and inhabitants of earth.' Anutpada explained.

Kamui put her hands on her most worthy ally, her sword Tamayorihime. Her sword was especially made for her. It has the ability to cut not only through physical matter but ethereal matter as well.

'It is time that I return to the earth world to get acclimated with the new civilization.' Kamui said.

'Very well, I shall take you as close to the disturbance as I can.' Anutpada said as a beam of light encompassed Kamui's body.

Shibuya park was bustling today. People were out walking dogs, children playing and families having picnics. Everything went still as if someone pressed pause.

Kamui appeared in the middle of the park. She looked at her surroundings. 'This place has definitely changed. Look at the great buildings and the scarce amounts of clothing.'

'You must now seek out the aid of the Koinumura clan to receive your guide.' Anutpada explained.

A silver watch appeared on Kamui's right hand. 'This will guide you and give you access to my power.' Anutpada said.

She looked down at the watch and both hands were facing one direction. Kamui followed the path of the watch. She casually waved her right hand and time continued to flow as if it never stopped.

Kamui walked and walked taking in the sights until she came to a huge forest. 'Anutpada, I have followed the device as you have instructed yet I see nothing but trees.' Kamui said.

'Keep moving forward protector. Something is indeed there.' Anutpada replied.

Kamui walked forward. She could feel a veil of illusion around her. For someone normal they would have been turned around. But with Anutpada's power over time and space, illusions such as this one were wasted on Kamui. She put out her right hand and stepped through the veil.

Once inside she saw what looked a village in the amidst the forest. 'Where are the inhabitants of this village?' Kamui asked.

Anutpada remained silent.

A sharp metal object came flying through the air. But due to Kamui's heightened awareness of time and space she dodged the object with little effort. Three more object came flying but Kamui dodged those as well.

Suddenly all around her people began to appear out of puffs of smoke. They had the looks of humans but had ear and tails of dogs.

"Who are you stranger and why have you come to this village?" One of the dog people said approaching Kamui.

Kamui looked around. "Is this not the Koinumura tribe? I have come to receive my guide of this world."

The dog person gasped. "Can it really be you? The Thousand Years Protector!"

All of the dog people fell to their knees.

"We are so sorry to have attacked you. We thought you an attacker." The main dog person said.

Kamui waved her hand dismissively. "I understand your position. You all may rise. I am no queen to which you must bow."

The people stood to their feet.

"We are indeed the Koinumura tribe. I am Rivale the leader of the tribe." She extended her hand to Kamui. Kamui bent down slightly to shake her hand. "I shall present to you the potential guides." Rivale said.

She gestured to some of the tribe and five clansmen stepped forward. Four of them had the air of warriors but the fifth didn't. She was the smallest of the five. Where she lacked in physical strength Kamui sensed a great inner strength; deep and powerful.

"I have made my decision." Kamui said.

The little clan girl lowered her head.

"I chose her." Kamui said.

The entire clan gasped.

"Left up your head little one and tell me your name." Kamui said.

The little girl raised her head. "My, my name is Konoha." She said nervously.

I am the Thousand Years Protector but you may call me Kamui." Kamui said to Konoha. Then she turned her attention to the rest of the tribe. "I, the Thousand Years Protector chooses Konoha of clan Koinumura to be my guide. Does anyone object?"

The room went silent. Rivale stepped to Konoha. "Congratulations child. Come, we gather your things for your journey."

Rivale, Konoha and Kamui ventured deeper into the forest. "There is something you must receive before to leave this village Konoha." Rivale said still walking deep into the forest.

They came to a clearing surrounded by beautiful flowers and flowing water.

"Whoa what is this place? I've never seen this place before!" Konoha said looking around in awe.

Rivale chuckled at Konoha's youthful spirit. "This my child is the sanctuary of Moriomoto, the spirit of growth and vegetation. He tends to dwell among plant life because plants represent the cycle of life, death and rebirth." Rivale explained.

"That must be the gentle presence I sense here." Kamui said.

Rivale stepped forward a few paces away from Konoha and Kamui. "Guardian of growth and over seer of plant life. Protector of the Koinumura clan I call upon your sacred name. Please young Konoha in her quest alongside the Thousand Years Protector, that they may restore order to the world."

A gust of wind blew through the forest and settled upon Konoha. She felt the spirit of Moriomoto enter her. It was a cool relaxing feeling. 'We are joined now. Use my power to restore the world.' Moriomoto said to her.

"Brave child of the Koinumura, you have all that you need to embark on your journey. I wish you both luck." Rivale said smiling.

Konoha smiled back. "You can trust me Elder Rivale, I won't let you down."

"I must return to clan now. Both of you be safe." Rivale said as she disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Kamui looks at Konoha. "What is our first plan of action little oneā€¦ I mean Konoha?"

Konoha's stomach growled in response. "Food!" She grabbed Kamui's hand and they both disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
