I don't own Digimon in any way. For my sanity, I've chosen to name the Ichijouji eldest daughter, but nobody else.

Ken Ichijouji sat at his family's dining room table with his head in his hands. Yolei sat at the opposite end of the table, head hung in shame. Their children sat on either end of the table, exchanging looks with each other. An unsettling quiet punctuated the room as the kids sat in nervousness.

"How could you...?" Ken asked, though muffled through his hands.

"I'm sorry..." Yolei answered.

"But why? Why would you do that to me?"

"I-I didn't think you'd find out."

Ken lifted his head. "So you weren't going to tell me about it?"

"..." Yolei sighed.

"But why? It's me!"

"I know! Don't you think I feel bad about it?"

"Like hell you do! Otherwise you wouldn't have done it!"

Their children winced. Rena, their daugher, dropped her own head into her hands. This wasn't happening...

Yolei sighed again. "Look, it was only once. Can you forgive me so we can move on?"

"It's not that simple." Ken replied. "It's not everyday that a man finds out his wife cheated."

"And I said I was sorry!"

Ken pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to ward off a migrane. "And how do you expect me to believe you?"

Yolei dropped her head again. "...you don't trust me...?"

"How can I? You cheated."

Rena spoke up. "She said she was sorry, daddy. Can't you forgive her so we can move on?" She turned to her mother. "She promises she won't do it again, right mommy?" Yolei nodded vigorously.

Ken took a deep breath and let loose a deep sigh. "Fine. I'll forgive you this time, but if you cheat again, we're done. Got it?" Yolei nodded again. The quartet sat in an awkward silence as they all looked at their hands again. Moments passed before any sounds came from any of the family members. Rena coughed twice.

Ken mentally smirked. "Now then, Yolei," Her eyes met her husband's. "Do you have...a two?"

Yolei's eyes bugged. "H-h-how did you know?" She asked as she handed the card in question to her daughter.

Rena handed the card to her father, who in return handed her a small amount of money. A grin the size of Japan sat on both of their faces.

"Let's just say...you're not the only cheater in the family." He said as he set his cards on the table. "I win."

Yolei screamed in rage.
