I know I need to update my other stories, but I've just been so uninspired. I promise that right now as soon as I post this, I will glue myself to this chair and write out at least one chapter, if not two! I really like this story! It was inspired by the moment between Shawn and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Juliet. Did anyone else think that episode was funnier, Shulsier, and just BETTER than normal? Or is it just because I've been in withdrawal. Who knows… maybe now that the shows back on I can be inspired to write again! We can always hope! Please enjoy, and let me know what you think!

It was back. That more-than-friendly banter that had been missing for so long from their relationship—it was finally back. Juliet smiled to herself. Now that Abigail was finally out of the picture things between her and Shawn seemed more relaxed. She could finally bring herself to let her face show what she was feeling. Gazing at Shawn's softening, smiling features Juliet's heart leapt.

Apparently so could he.

"Should we hug now?" he asked, his voice not as teasing as it should have been. He was serious. Juliet could feel herself becoming more and more lightheaded as her being flooded with joy and… love.

Of course, she had known that she loved Shawn for a while now. If she were being honest, and now seemed as good a time as any to start, she had loved him for a lot longer than she let herself believe. An uncontrollable grin split her face when she realized how easy things were.

The healing is over, she realized, feeling the last of the bitterness that she had been drowning in since Yin drain from her tired body. One side of Shawn's mouth was curled up in an uncharacteristically shy smile while he waited for her reply.

Juliet looked at Shawn, and saw a different man. No, a changed man, she decided. The goofball that she had fallen in love with was definitely still there—the marks (were those chain link marks?) lightly visible on his face attested to that, and she wondered briefly where they came from. To anyone else, the slight indentation might be mistaken as a part of his face, or just overlooked. However, Juliet could probably give a sketch artist more detail than he knew what to do with when it came to Shawn's face. Though, she reasoned, even the most talented artist couldn't catch the light in those eyes.

In addition to the old, carefree Shawn, Juliet could detect an undercurrent of maturity that hadn't been there before. She felt her mood drop briefly, realizing just how much damage Yin and Yang had done to the alive young man. "Yin targeted me too." It was time to move on with her life. If Shawn could do it, then she could too.

Her smile widened, making her cheeks ache pleasantly as she realized all the possibilities that were opening up between the two of them. They could admit all their feelings, and explore them together. They could go on dates, and hold hands. They could dance, and they could kiss.

They could hug.

Juliet raised her gaze to meet Shawn's hazel eyes and melted.

"We could."
