Silence. No sound in the room except the sound of her breathing. Jinx was quickly taken to the medical bay after Elder Jehden informed her that her blooding was far from over. The first of her three friends to come near her was Hien, whom stated she needed to get her neck looked at.

And so there she sat on the table waiting for a doctor to see her.

"Hello, Jin's. It's nice to see you again." It had been the same Yautja that treated her and Aw'sa from what felt like forever ago. "I'm going to take the bandaging off, clean up the wound, and see what we should do from there."

The doctor was extremely gentle with pulling the dried bloodied cloth from her tender flesh.

"I heard you passed your first blooding." The doctor spoke trying to take her mind off the task at hand.

Jinx grinned "Yeah. It's an amazing feeling."

He tossed the rags into the trash and reach for a mixture of light blue liquid "I couldn't imagine what it could possibly feel like for an ooman to go through blooding. For Yautja it's something we all know is going to happen in a point in our lives if not all the time, depending on where the elders place you."

She winced as he cleaned the caked-on blood "The feeling is indescribable."

"It looks worse than it is, the marks are shallow… all but the entry point. Lucky your necklace didn't break off and end up in your wound. I would close the deepest part but it looks like your body is healing it at a fast pace. For now I believe it'd be best if we let it heal on its own. Keep it clean and clear, if you feel you need to have it covered come back and I'll take care of it." He finished drying the area when a knock sounded on the door.

"Come in." Doctor muttered putting a type of ointment on Jinx.

It was Elder Tari'hsan along with her Yautja boys.

"How are her wounds?" The elder looked to the doctor.

Straightening himself up to look the elder in the eyes "Jin's is scratched up and bruised but nothing serious. Her neck wound is healing nicely without any help. I would like for it to heal as naturally as possible. What she really needs now is food and rest."

"Good." That was as far as the elder was able to get before Torn attacked Jinx.

Torn held her tight praising her in Yautja.

"Torn… can't breathe." Jinx was able to wheeze out.

"Sorry Jin's, I'm just so proud of my pet. I can't believe the little ooman I cuddle to killed such a huge beast!" Torn grinned at her "Plus now Jin's is a warrior."

"At least till your final blooding test that is." Aw'sa pointed out to Torn in hopes of freeing Jinx from his blood brother.

Tari'hsan broke the little bit of tension his son had made "Yes, but until the test is taken Jin's is the same as any other young blood and is given the same rights."

Jinx gave a raised eyebrow looking up to the elder "And what does that entail?"

Hein took the chance to explain "For starters you're no longer anyone's pet."

"Jin's also gets her own room" Torn cut off the older.

"Oh, so I have my own room in Aw'sa's place? Cool! My own bed I won't have to share." She laughed remembering all the times she hogged the bed.

The elder placed a soft hand on her back leading Jinx out the door and forward through the hall. "That's not what Torn meant."

Aw'sa continued his tone of voice slightly disappointed "Jin's is going to be getting her own place, for her and Rhino."

Jinx was going to question them farther till the sound of doors opening stopped her.

"Go on pup." Hein gave her a gentle push.

She took note of the sizing. It was about the same set up as Torn's place. Sitting area or living room was the first room that led to the kitchen on the right. The kitchen was just the right size for a human, granted the appliances weren't anything close to human like, but she was sure one of the guys could teach her how to use them. Just up from the kitchen was a hallway to her own bedroom. From the looks of it the boys had been busy at work making the place just for her. It looked as close to her bedroom as an alien ship could get. They had given her a closest half full of warrior clothing and the bed was filled with all her favorite types of pelts.

"I guess Aw'sa was really listening to me" Jinx mumbled to herself, feeling the soft fur of the many skins.

Next was the bathroom. Nothing too special, same as most of the other apart from a small mirror over the sink with a hair brush. Grinning like an idiot Jinx took a good fifth teen minutes cleaning herself up. Having put clean clothing on, even if it was Yautja hunter style, and brushing her hair, Jinx moved on.

To the left of the living room was her very own sparring and trophy room in one. That's where the boys had moved to.

"So, what do you think Jin's? Did we do well?" Aw'sa asked waiting for her approval.

She kept the Yautja waiting for a moment still taking in the room. They had gotten all her trophies into the room and her weapons had been given a place along with cleaned.

"It is, just, wow. Thank you, guys." Jinx could not smile any wider than she was… till a yawn hit her.

Hein patted her on the head "We should let the little one have her rest."

Jinx moved through the empty home. The boys had left, more like Hein and Tari'hsan left while dragging the other two out. Laying down only a few thoughts passed in her head. Like remembering that Torn was going to bring Rhino home after she had rested.

Jinx jolted awake when warm slobber hit her face.

"The hell?" She squeaked not even alive enough to understand what was going on.

It had been Rhino; the alien dog had hopped around her making various noises of happiness and love.

"Sorry pet, he had smelt you on me, so he was hard to handle." Torn spoke trying to cover the amusement in his voice.

She would have yelled at Torn for the pet comment if Rhino wasn't mauling her with love.

"Ugh, Rhino I missed you too boy. Careful." She tried holding the beast back "Calm down! Sit, Sit."

Rhino did as told tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth.

"He was getting restless while you were gone." Torn crouched next to the bed petting her head. "We all were."

Holding on to her alien dog Jinx looked him in the eye "I know, but it's alright. You guys had nothing to worry over. I came back safe and sound."

"This time." Torn came to sit next to her, petting Rhino "With you having to go through with a second blooding."

Staring silently Jinx could feel Torn's questioning gaze on her, more worry was placed on her shoulders.

"Thanks for taking care of Rhino for me Torn." Slowly she stood using Torn's build for support "Now let's go get me some food."

Walking out the door of her own apartment Torn showed her how to lock up.

"You know once you're completely done with your blooding I want to take you hunting. See how well my pet learned." Torn purred getting excited for future time with Jinx.

Sighing she glared at him "Torn, I'm not a pet anymore."

He paid no mind to her "You'll be able to mate when season hits. I'm sure Set'mi'wei will want to have you aboard. Hein's going to want to train you some more."

"Torn!" Jinx yelled getting his attention along with Rhino's "Slow down, I have to pass my second blooding first."

"Overwhelming the pup already I see." Hein spoke from behind her, Varn standing next to him. "You needn't listen to him, Torn is just proud of you."

"As he should be." Varn grinned purring "But you've still a ways to go. Once you've settled down I need to see you Dha-viath, we've much to discuss."

Nodding her head yes, the group walked into the mess hall.

"So, where's Aw'sa?"

Hein answered as the smell of food hit her nose "He's with the high elder."

"Sister!" Jinx was surprised by the group of Yautja women huddling around her.

Torn had went to pull her away but Varn had held him back.

"That is my Jin's." The younger hissed at the older.

"We need to let her be, let her blooded sisters interact with her. If she turns from them Jinx could become an outcast. Her classmates need to be her most trusted friends, or it could spell her death in future hunts." Varn let that sink in before hitting Torn with a low blow "Besides, she no longer belongs to you or anyone."

Upon being released Torn pouted though still watched his pet fraternize with her blood sisters.

"Your wound looks much better than before." Teine spoke giving a soft smile with a friendly arm grip which she returned.

Jinx laughed "Thanks to you, if you hadn't had bandaged it so well I probably would have gotten it infected."

One of the other sisters voiced her mind "It's wrong for Elder Jehden to make you go through with another test. You passed and are a blooded warrior."

The Yautja was tall, skin a dark brown with burnt orange flecks on her shoulders, hair pulled back and eyes that match her skin tone. It had been the same female that was surrounded by the hybrid raptor pack.

"We saw firsthand how well you fight and what you're capable of."

Cet'tiha joined the group "You did it all on your own. The blooding, saving three of us, and even putting up with your own blood brothers having a grudge against you."

"I'd like to hear about that" Varn broke into the little huddle causing the other Yautja to go silent. "Dha-viath?"

"Well, I believe the first one Jin's saved was myself, while I was too busy hunting Jin's I had let my guard down and had gotten an impregnator attached. She had somehow gotten it off me before it could do its purpose in life. Then she saved one of our sisters and last was Cet'tiha." Nanku explained to the teacher with a tone that had nothing but happiness in it while wrapping a loose arm around Jinx's neck.

Varn gave the Yautja a stern stare down "I see."

"It seems Jin's did much more than we all know." Hein grinned knowing full well how embarrassed all the attention was making her feel.

Jinx tried brushing it off "Yeah well, just means you all own me one."

She got a few laughs and a playful slap on the back.

"Anyway, I came here for food." Jinx left the group headed other to where Dei'kwei had been waiting and watching.

He gave Jinx so much food she wasn't sure if she'd be able to eat it all even with Rhino getting some that is.

"I heard about your feat, just about the whole ship has." He spoke as he handed her jerky for Rhino. "You should be proud of yourself."

She didn't say anything just smiled. Just as she was turning to sit Torn took her food from her and led her to a table in the corner. Sighing Jinx followed, sitting next to Torn, Jinx was finally able to eat something. It had been hard at first because of her neck wound. If she inhaled it the wound pull and sting, so forced to take her time her Yautja friends talked.

"Once you've finished eating I'd like to speak with you about what is to come Dha-viath." Varn asked and explained, much to Jinx's surprise.

Having some kind of actual choice and freedom was something Jinx was going to have to get used to. "Okay."

Hein was next to speak "Since you've time for the moment we should start thinking about getting rhino trained as well. The sooner he is fully trained and blooded the more useful and happy he'll become. I'll be more than happy to help you with him, as I'm sure Torn would like to help too."

"Sounds like a good idea to me." Rhino perked up hearing his name. "I don't want to have to leave him behind while on a hunt, just seeing the mauling I got being gone for a few days tells me he wants nothing more than to be loved and helpful. Isn't that right boy?"

"We're going to have to watch too, because Jinx is now a warrior you've became matible." Torn's face was serious as he watched Jinx face go to confusion.

"What does that mean?"

Torn grinned petting her hair "It means you'll be getting courting gifts from other Yautja."

"But I'm not really a Yautja, I know you've joked around about mating with me, but it's not like that can happen… right?" Jinx was worried and curious at the same time. Could a Yautja honestly want to mate with such an ooman baby maker?

Torn's grin grew even wider "Yes you maybe ooman but you are also now a Yautja warrior with friends in high places, in more than one clan as well. You've proven your worth much more than normal Yautja's. I do not know if mating would produce a baby but mating for pleasure is beyond possible."

"For fuck sake…" Jinx looked to Varn and Hein for help "Torn can't be right."

Varn nodded his head yes "He speaks the truth. The Yautja not only use ooman kind as prey and cattle but for other things as well, thus us having ooman pets."

"I…I hate you all so much right now." She wished she could just go home. "Do I have to mate?"

"No not at all" Hein started with a caring and gentle voice "Just because they may want to court you does not mean you have to. You are a blooded Yautja, you now have choices to do as you please. No one can make you do something you do not want to… expect the high elder."

Her shoulders relaxed "Oh thank paya."

Once finished with her food the small group head back to her new home.

Jinx waved goodbye to the other two while Varn stood next to her waiting. As the sliding door swooshed open Rhino totted in while Varn was next and last was Jinx.

"So, what did you need to talk to me about?"

"I have information on what to expect for your second blooding." He paused a moment waiting for Jinx to take a seat next to him on the couch. "I also wanted to tell you that I knew about elder Jehden sending you on another test. As did the others."

Sighing Jinx looked him in the eye "I figured you guys knew something, why didn't you tell me?"

Varn wasn't going to lie to her "When Aw'sa had made the agreement he and his father pitched the idea to myself first. I agreed as I like a challenge, when he had brought it in front of the elders the only one whom didn't like the idea was Jehden. Unable to dispute the others she agreed to it under certain terms. If you failed your first blooding you, along with myself would have been put to death. Should you come back blooded, you'd only have to prove yourself once more."

"You'll be taking your test on your home planet Jin's. Your prey will no longer be animal or hard meat, Jehden made this choice and test for no one but you. You'll have to kill another ooman." Varn paused knowing that the last bit of information could cause Jinx to react a number of different ways.

Jinx put it together "By hunting down one of my own and proving I choose Yautja over my own species. To show I can be trusted by Yautja. And causing myself to be out casted by my own kind and never be accepted back."

"Yes…" Varn purred out proud of her understanding nature "When you are dropped off on earth you'll have three days to complete the test. You must find an ooman you consider worthy of making a trophy. You'll face many other trials, some mental conflicts others physical labors. But you've come this far. There is only one ooman I can think of that can win this test and that is Dha-viath."

Jinx gave the teacher a toothy grin "I guess that means more sparring and training, right?"

He chuckled placing a finger under her chin making sure eye contact stayed "Of course, but first you must heal. There will be more than enough time later on."

She put a firm grip on his elbow with a serious look in her eyes "I'll be ready for when that time comes."

Varn smiled at her glad he had been the one chosen to teach this ooman before him "I know you will. You are Dha-viath after all."

Letting go of her Varn paused a moment thinking "Jin's… I did promise to tell you what Dha-viath means."

"You did…" Jinx tilted her head at him. "If I remember right you said you'd tell me it when I passed my blooding."

"Correct. Dha-viath means" Varn went to continue till Jinx stopped him.

"I still have to finish my blooding. Save it for when I pass my second half." The confidence in her voice made Varn purr.

Varn sat back while Jinx pay attention to Rhino.

"You're taking being a young blood profoundly. You've grown so much in such a short time… I worry."

Alien dog in her lap she spoke without looking at her teacher "I have to take it seriously. I'm a blooded warrior for the time being, I need to act like it or I could end up in trouble."

Standing and headed for the door Varn nodded his head agreeing with her. He glanced back "You may be a warrior Dha-viath but you are also an ooman taken and forced into a culture of beings alien to yourself. Mistakes will be made. Do not try being something you are not because the ooman I taught is better than that. Rest, as I'm sure one of your friends will be checking on you soon enough."

Jinx was left in silence to take in Varn's words. Be herself. Was that really all the old Yautja had to say, hell she didn't even know what 'herself' was anymore. Sighing she look up toward the ceiling.

Rhino watching happily from his seat while Jinx stood up popping her spine once more into place "Well the over grown lizard was right about one thing, I need some sleep and relaxation. Come on boy lets go cuddle in bed."

Laughter could be heard as the massive gengee trot pass her straight to the bedroom.

Waking up Jinx blinked a few times remember the past events as to where she was. A grin slowly playing on her face whilst tucking herself farther into the nest of furs. The noise of sniffing made her open an eye which was enough of a sign for Rhino to give her the routine morning kisses.

Giggling Jinx locked her arms around his neck causing the big puppy to plop down on his side panting.

"Is that a smile I see?" Jinx's smile grew as her eyes soften to that loving regard. "Such a good boy. Did you have fun with Torn while mommy was away?"

At this point Jinx had started to scratch the beast's belly. She continued noticing his nub of a tail wagging. "Who's my good boy? Who is it? Is it Rhino?"

Both jumped at the sudden knock on her front door.

"That's probably the guys." Pushing herself from the comfy nest Jinx yawned rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Upon opening the door Jinx found that it wasn't any of her boys… "Nanku? Wha?"

"Jin's" The blood brother purred out her name. "Sorry I seem to have taken you from your rest."

"Ah… Don't worry about it, Rhino woke me up first. So um, what ya doing here?" Confusion clearly going across her face.

Nanku held out a hand to her "I figured since the elders placed you as a warrior you'd need to know a few extra places on the clan ship. Like the smithy room."

Her curiosity was peeked "All right, you've got my attention. Lead the way."

Nanku chuckled at her "You're hunting dog may get in the way."

"He goes where I go." Rhino gave a single bark to show he wasn't going anywhere. Stepping out of her place Nanku gave her space while Rhino waited patiently for her. "Besides, I may want to get him fitted for some armor."

The walk started out quietly till Nanku began asking questions.

"Tell me sister, how did you get that face hugger off me?" The auburn six foot something Yautja glanced at her.

Tilting her head to look up at him Jinx though on how to explain it "Honestly, I don't know much on the technical how, just that hard meat seem to react positive towards myself. It also helps that I'm not Yautja to begin with."

Nanku scoffed lightly but didn't press more on that subject "Thank you again Jin's. When you pass your second blooding I'd like to go hunting with you and… Rhino."

The dog yipped, tongue and drool slipping from the side of his mouth "Well you just made a new friend. I'll take you up to the offer but this time stick to hunting the wild life and not me."

A few Yautja walked by speaking in their langue, staring at the two. As Jinx knew to pay them no mind Nanku glared them down before going on with his normal amused attitude.

"I make no such promises. Dha-viath is a much more enjoyable prize to be had than some wild game."

Jinx growled at him "You're worse than Torn with that underling sexual tone."

"I did see you single handedly save one of our brothers and behead a beast worthy of paya, can you blame me?" He smiled at her meanwhile Jinx play it off rolling her eyes at him hiding her current embarrassment. "You do know that at least two of our brothers are going to try courting you."

"Fuck me." Jinx ran a hand down her face.

Nanku didn't miss the chance "That would be the point of it."

Jinx balled her little hands but couldn't help the smirk forming "Nanku, change the subject before I make you."

The purr that followed her threat told Jinx he liked her feisty nature. He was nice enough to change the talk toward something else.

"When will Jin's be starting to train again?"

Thankful she wouldn't have to talk about future advances Jinx shrugged at him "Soon I hope but Varn wants me to heal first."

Nanku blinked a few times "Dha-viath you don't have to train with just Varn, your blood sisters and brothers would be more than willing to help. You don't seem be aware of how much we all respect and care for you."

"Sorry that's a new thing to me. Last I recalled I was disliked in the classroom." She made the Yautja feel odd and out of place, a feeling he didn't like but understood.

Nanku placed a hand on her shoulder stopping the pace dead "I am truly sorry Jin's but you've proven that you are worthy to all of us."

Straight faced Jinx stare him down "I shouldn't have had to."

"You're right, by paya, you are right." Nanku rubbed his thumb across her skin before releasing her shoulder. "We're not far now, come on."

The over grown lizard pressed forward, Jinx picked up behind him.

He was silent, something she wasn't use to.

"Still nice to know I now have someone on my side…" Jinx grinned elbowing his arm "Especially the one Yautja that found me to be the best prey."

Nanku shot out an arm to wrap around her while a deep purr came with it "Awe my sister is worried about my feelings."

"Okay then" Jinx let out a laugh grinning unable to understand why she cared enough to try saving Nanku's mood. "How far now?"

Nanku quickly pulled back though didn't stop purring. "A few more hallways"

Meanwhile poor Rhino was nothing but concerned, placing himself between the new Yautja and his mother.

Getting in the room was the easy part, staying however, was a different story. Her blood brother seemed to be having no problems, neither did Rhino, but poor Jinx. She could smell sweat and male hormones.

"BROTHER!" a shout rang out as Nanku was attacked into an arm gripping contest.

Rhino stayed by her, aware of the trouble Jinx was having breathing. During which Nanku chatted with a copy of himself.

"Are you okay ooman?" A random Yautja seemed to see the disstressed look on her face.

She nodded her head yes trying not to breath.

Nanku strolled up to her "Dha-viath, this is my brother Si'bok (Sin boc). What's wrong Jin's?"

She was starting to get over the actual waft of smell. "The smell…"

"Smell?"

"The smell of sweat with male hormones." Jinx didn't even try being around the bush.

Every one held shocked faces.

Nanku handed her his mask, sure it was two times her size but it made her able to breathe without the smell. "I'm surprised, oomans normally can't smell the Yautja scents. Are you going to be okay?"

"Yeah yea, it was just too many different kinds all put together in a small space." Jinx reassured him though not totally certain herself.

Si'bok went to give her the normal Yautja gesture "It's nice to finally meet the ooman I made that armor for."

"You made my armor?" Jinx was in awe "Thank you so much, it is perfect."

"I'm happy you like it. Varn came in with the idea on how he wished for it to look, and I modified it just a bit to make it easier for you." Si'bok crossed his arms clearly the more laid back of the two brothers.

A small question popped into her head "By chance were you also the one to make my hard meat tail whip?"

"No." Shaking his head Si'bok went on "The one who made that was Varn himself. When I asked about it he said something about how you had taken to the whips and that since you're a special fighter you needed something a little more fitting."

Jinx stood speechless for a moment in awe that Varn had gone through such lengths for her.

"Oh um, Si'bok?" Pausing Jinx waited making sure she had gotten his attention "Do you think you could make me some armor for my gengee?"

The Yautja black smith circled the dog, whom didn't want to stay still.

"I could, but I have a feeling you have something in mind. Besides I'd need materials and payment."

Nanku huffed at him "Brother. This is my blood sister whom saved my very life."

Jinx looked Rhino over, caressing behind his ear "If I were to draw you what I wanted it to look like and brought you what you needed, what kind of payment would you want?"

Si'bok smiled to his disapproving brother "I've heard you drew a picture for one of the elders. For payment I'd like you to draw me one as well."

Glancing between Rhino and Si'bok Jinx held out her arm, a sign to bine the deal "I can do that. Any idea on what you'd like it to be of?"

"Something to do with the smithy." Si'bok turned to Nanku "When you have the concept drawn up you can stop by and we can go over them. If I'm not here just find my brother. Sorry to push you two out the door but I've a lot of work still to get done."

Nanku ushered Jinx and Rhino out the door saying a fast good bye to Si'bok. Once back in the hall way Jinx handed Nanku his mask back muttering a thank you.

"What else can you do?" Nanku clipped his mask back on his belt setting a slow speed toward they're next destination "I mean are you even really ooman?"

Jinx took a few deep breathes "Good question, pretty sure I'm supposed to be human."

"You look and smell like an ooman" He cause jinx to squeak and fidget by poking her in the side "Feel ooman as far as I can tell."

Smacking his hand away Jinx gave him a cheeky grin "I'm human glad we figured that out."

Deep chuckling followed through the hall while Rhino gave the Yautja a soft warning bump in the legs.

"I see he doesn't like me playing with his mother." Nanku mused keeping his hands to himself.

Jinx give the big pup a quick peck on the forehead, she loved him to pieces and then some. "What can I say, Rhino's my baby."

The two spent a few hours together talking and joking around. Nanku was going to be one of her closer blood brothers, she could tell just by the way the two got along. He had shown her the arena room, where Yautja gathered to spar over important matters. Next was the spiritual room. Lastly was the ship bay. Yes, Jinx had been there before but each time seemed kind of like a blur. Nanku helped show her all the ships and tools. Telling her what each ship's purpose was and the names of them… not that she honestly cared too much about that type of thing.

The two headed back toward her apartment chatting about little things like their blood brothers and sisters. Rhino caught her attention when he sped off yipping at something.

Hearing a familiar voice Jinx rushed to it.

"Aw'sa!" Her tone came out happier then intended.

The white skinned Yautja swooped her up inhaling her sweet scent. Claws softly digging in to exposed flesh. "Jin's, where have you been? Causing trouble?"

Nanku watched next to Rhino, both holding the same put off look at the show of affection.

Being put down Jinx dragged Nanku closer to meet Aw'sa. "I was with my blood brother, Nanku. He was showing me a few places of the clan ship I didn't know about already."

"Oh. Well thank you Nanku." Aw'sa's head lifted a bit higher while his back straightened, he was demanding dominance from the young blood. Jinx saw the signs clear as day. Following custom Nanku stare at the ground with his head lowered.

Jinx cleared her throat gaining the two's awareness. Eyebrow raised and arms crossed she addressed them "Aw'sa back the fuck down and Nanku drop the respect act. You asked where I was and I told you. I'm blooded, Aw'sa, remember?"

Nanku face visibly stunned that she just talked to the high elder's only son in such a way. However, Aw'sa didn't much care, enjoying the fact the Jinx was still the same up front ooman.

"I apologize Jin's." Aw'sa put a gentle hand on her head, tangling his fingers in her hair as reflex "What do you think of Jin's, Nanku?"

The auburn Yautja stood a few inches taller than Aw'sa and bit leaner in body type too. "She isn't like any other oomans I've seen or even been near."

Aw'sa rumbled with a laughter pointing to his bite mark Jinx gave him so long ago "I should know."

Blanked faced Nanku looked at her "You bit him?"

Jinx grinned showing off her canines, shrugging all the while. "Anyways thank you Nanku. Next time I get to choose what we do."

Aw'sa 's grin dropped a little as Nanku laughed.

"Till then sister." Nanku wrapped a loose arm her shoulders, giving her a hug with something that felt like understanding.

The other young blood waltzed off much to Aw'sa's pleasure.

"He seems …"

Jinx rolled her eyes to look up at him "I believe the words you may be looking for are nice, friendly, or handsy?"

Aw'sa inhale taking interest in anything but her.

She opened the door smile playing on her lips during which Rhino sped in. "So why have you come to visit me?"

The white Yautja's concern written on his face when she turned from closing the door "I had wanted to make sure you were resting like the doctor had said."

Grabbing his hand Jinx led him to sit with her. "There I'm resting now."

"What am I going to do with you Jin's?" Aw'sa mused pulling her closer resting an arm around her completely.

"I seem to recall that you don't need to worry about doing anything with me, as I'm currently able to take care of myself." Jinx look at him from the corner of her eye.

A moment of silence followed before Aw'sa looked at her "I'll remember that for the next time you need help."

Jinx got in his face "I would not be in any of these situations if not for you and your hunting party, my problems would be this small" She paused to shove her hand showing about an inch and throw her arms out "Instead of this big!"

He attacked her into a hug "Does Jin's really think being a normal ooman was an option? Besides, if not for my hunt you wouldn't have gotten to meet and win over so many Yautja you've come to call friends… and family."

"Family?" Confusion clearly written on her face, sure she had jokingly thought of a choice few Yautja as family. At least the closest thing you could consider as a family.

The purr Aw'sa was giving brought her back to reality "Do you still think of us, Hien, Torn, Rhino, and me, as family?"

Aw'sa watched her face go from thought into a softened happiness "Yeah, of course. You guys are my family."

He took hold of her chin clawed thumb slightly digging in "You're our family too. Jin's is very important to us… to me."

"Somethings up." Jinx stare the over grown lizard down removing his hand "You're never this emotional."

He turned his head from her "The sister clan will be coming. Set'mi'wei found out about your blooding and wished to congratulate you."

"You're changing the subject. Aw'sa you only get emotional when you're worried." Standing on the couch, over his bigger frame she put her hands on her hips.

Letting his square shoulders drop Aw'sa spoke "I am worried, about you and your second blooding."

"You're worried I won't come back right?"

Aw'sa swiftly looked to her shocked she had known about her on coming test. "Yes."

leaning back Jinx toyed with her hands "I may be ooman and earth may be my home planet but I've thought about it some… about what my life was and how much it's changed from that. I honestly don't think I could go back to trying to be normal. Not to mention what people would do if they saw me, I mean how long have I been gone?"

"It's been nearly nine earth months." He gently started to rub her back in comfort. "Who told you about your next test Jin's?"

Sighing she pushed aside the stream of thoughts on her home planet and the life she once had "Varn did. Which I appreciate, as I would like to know what I'm up against instead a surprise."

Nodding in agreement he pulled her into his embrace purring ever so lightly "I know I can be hard headed and stubborn but I'm right here if you ever need to talk. And I worry because I want nothing more than to stand by you and watch this amazing ooman, I've come to care for, take on anything that comes her way and win."

Still trapped in a comfortable hug Jinx question him "So when is the sister clan visiting again?"

Waking up Jinx had started getting a morning routine. Aw'sa was nice enough to show her how a few of her alien gadgets worked before going to his place, making using the kitchen a lot more realistic.

"Come on Rhino time for your first walk." She laughed as the beast whine at the door waiting for her.

Opening the door and walking out Jinx nearly fall flat on her face tripping over something. "What in the hell?"

It was a skull of some type of alien. Looking around to see if maybe someone had been watching only to see Torn walking toward her snickering.

"Torn is this yours?" She questioned staring once more at it, thinking on if she remembered seeing it in the trophy room.

Chuckling Torn shook his head before giving the happy Rhino a pat on the head "It's not mine Jin's. It's a mating gift. And from the looks of it, it's from one of your blood brothers."

"Great." She spoke out in sarcasm "And just how do I say no?"

"Just pay it no mind pet, he'll come check on it and find you didn't take it meaning you didn't want to mate with him or you were dissatisfied with the gift." Torn explained to her meanwhile Rhino took up the lead. "Your neck wound is healing nicely, nearly gone."

Hopping over the thing Jinx turned her attention on Torn "So what exactly are you up to?"

"I was coming to check on my pet." Torn pull her close to himself "Aw'sa was telling me about Nanku. I think he's a strong choice towards the mating gift."

"Torn, number one I'm not your pet and number two can we drop the mating gift. PLEASE." Jinx sighed at the end, not believing someone wanted to mate with her.

The two turning a corner start to walk by the many groups of yautja.

"Jin's!"

The two turned to meet where the shout came from, only to see Kyle making a bee line for her. Set'mi'wei chuckled keeping a close eye on her pet.

"Hey Kyle!" Jinx went to wave enthusiastically at him but the boy had other plans, putting her into a bear hug. "uh… wasn't expecting that."

Holding her at arm's length Kyle grinned at her "Congratulations."

"Yes, congratulations my friend." Set'mi'wei came to give Jinx the normal arm grab greeting. "I've heard a great deal of rumors about you. Each one more wild than the next… I hope they're all true."

Jinx laughed whole heartily. "I can't confirm nor deny anything."

The female gripped Jinx into a tight hug. "I missed you little spirit!"

Torn sighed being impatient "We were just starting our morning walk; would you like to join us Sister?"

"Wow, Rhino is definitely gonna be huge when he's an adult." Kyle looked the gengee over while rhino placed himself as the lead.

Tilting her head in thought, Jinx voiced a small concern "How big do gengee get exactly?"

Set'mi'wei crossed her arms over her chest clearly in thought "Well, Rhino is from a very strong blood line and his father is one of our trackers… He'll most likely be eight feet from tail to snort and weigh around three tons."

Jinx quickly looked at rhino, the happy alien puppy full of life and the vision of happiness, a cuddle monster… was going to be that big. "Shit, I'm gonna have get him trained soon. I thought he'd be closer to his mother's size seeing as he was the runt."

"Don't worry over that too much Jin's, I planned on helping you with Rhino." Torn rested a hand on the top of her head trying to lift some of her stress from her.

As the group came to a fork in the hall Torn and Jinx started to turn left while the Gengee clan's high elder and her pet began to choose the other.

"You haven't checked in with Elder Tari'hsan yet, have you?" Torn question the female whom only gave a sigh in return.

"I had every intention of seeing him, but I came upon the two of you first." Set'mi'wei pointed a claw down the hallway they just came from "Besides the elder chambers were on the way. Hard to believe it's the same Yautja that acts first and deals with the consequences later that is scolding me."

Torn's eyes flickered between Jinx and Set'mi'wei "Yautja can change."

Jinx couldn't help herself as she barked out a laugh, ending with a firm smile on her lips. "As far as I'm concern, you haven't changed that much… But that's why in love ya big guy."

The female Yautja purred, a soft and smoothing sound that bounced off the long hallways. "You do not fathom just how much influence you control. I mustn't keep the elders any longer. Ki'li please keep little spirit company, if that's okay with you of course?"

Jinx grinned looking at Kyle. She quickly gripped onto his arm "I'll happily pet sit for you elder Set'mi'wei."

Kyle's face dropped while his master nodded her head at Jinx. "Pet sit?"

"I had to throw it in someone's face. Sorry." They started walking once more. Jinx had replaced the personal space between Kyle and herself. "How long are you guys staying for?"

"Only two or so days."

Torn tilted his head in thought "That's all? I thought Set'mi'wei would wish to spend more time with Jin's."

"She does. My mistress wants to spar and go hunting with her, on one of her private hunting planets. But with the current two clans calling upon her for help, free time for herself is far and few between. We're lucky to have been able to visit to congratulate you." Kyle explained as there was a tension clearly on his shoulders.

He must be a very close with Set'mi'wei to know so much about her responsibilities as high elder. He always seemed proud of who she was and what her clan did.

"Set'mi'wei must be wearing herself thin then." Jinx muttered to no one.

Torn wrapped a loose arm around her shoulders "And just what is going on in my pet's mind?"

She didn't answer him, too engrossed with her thoughts.

Torn dropped the two humans and gengee off giving a 'see you later' before heading off.

"So, they gave you your own place? Cool. Mind if I?" Kyle dragged out the end of his question.

Jinx shook her head at him "I'll give you the grand tour."

"And this is my trophy and sparring room." Jinx ended the tour so she could show off what her hard work over the past few weeks produced. Like a true Yautja would.

Kyle carefully looked over each thing. "Holy hell. What rank did the elders give you?"

Taking her hybrid raptor claws in hand, slowly Jinx recalled the reason behind why she took them in the first place "Warrior. Against Elder Jehden's best efforts might I add."

Growling had gotten both of their attention. Rhino was in the trophy room standing his ground.

"Rhino, its just a trophy." Kyle patted the gengee's side as he moved to poke the 'trophy' "Look boy, it's not alive."

Seeing exactly what 'trophy' it was Jinx went to speed in front of him "Kyle don't"

To late. Kyle had poked the 'trophy' in the head causing it to come to life. "The FUCK? It's alive, rhino, Jinx, kill it quick!"

Rhino had went to attack, protecting Kyle who had landed on the floor in his shock.

"Rhino stand down." Jinx placed herself in between.

Kyle slowly stood "What the fuck do you mean stand down. Jinx get the hell away from that thing!"

"Its not a thing!" Jinx hissed at the man in front of her "His name is Caper."

Caper hissed at Kyle, the little xenomorph's second jaws snapping at him.

Rhino barked at Caper, still in full protective mode. Caper made a jump for Kyle paying the gengee no mind.

Jinx caught the little alien by his tail, holding him tight. "Calm down, jeez. Rhino enough. Sit."

Rhino sat still not sure what he was supposed to do. While Kyle continues to freak out.

"Calm down? The thing can kill us in a matter of minutes! And you named it like a pet!"

"Kyle you poked him the face, I mean Caper being hostile toward you is understandable." Jinx gave her attention to the xenomorph in hand. "Caper. Stop it right now. Time for you to meet the other part of your family."

With a huff the little guy stopped wiggling and snapping at the air. Slowly she placed him on the ground.

"Rhino come here boy. Slowly." She watched as the alien dog's nose sniffed as he made towards her. Caper tilted his head clearly curious of the animal in front of it. "Now Caper this is Rhino, this your big brother. The two of you need to watch out for each other."

After the first sniff Rhino plopped down on the floor. Caper bobbed his head before imitating Rhino.

Jinx laughed at the pair as Rhino lifted his head and gave a whine as Caper followed his lead "I think he likes you Rhino."

"So, that's why… why Aw'sa had picked you." Kyle spoke in awe. He had seen xenomorphs kill and maim first hand.

Jinx bit her lip finally realizing an important point, Kyle had just seen Caper and if he told Set'mi'wei or any of her friends, Caper would die. "Kyle, I have a favor to ask."

"What is it?" Kyle questioned while his eyes looked around the room for an exit.

"I need you to keep Caper a secret. Please." Jinx pleased with him.

He could see the pain and hopelessness in her eyes. "I… I guess. As long as he isn't a threat."

Her eyes lit up and hugged the other human. "Thank you so much."

Both Rhino and Caper took the chance to join in on the love.

"See, he isn't that scary." Jinx giggled at the xenomorph. Caper had sat himself on top of Kyle's shoulder coiled around to the other side cuddled to his cheek.

Kyle tensed and gave a pained smile "This so uncomfortable and nerve racking."

"You've no idea." Jinx stood up quick, shooing Caper off Kyle before giving the other human a helping hand. "Now Caper, how in the hell did you get into the trophy room?'

The little animal jumped up and down before running towards a small open pipe line just big enough for a cat or in this case a Caper to fit threw.

Jinx sighed understanding all the underline problems the little rascal could cause. She picked up the little xenomorph, cuddling to him "Now you need to listen carefully to me right now. You can't go running around into other people's homes. I need you to go back with Alpha for now, understood?"

Caper chirped at her. Jumping from his chosen mother's arms, the xenomorph rushed to give rhino a head nudge after which making his great escape into the pipe work once more.

Rhino yipped after him, tail and butt wagging, as he watched the open pipe. Clearly the gengee and xenomorph would be great friends.

"Come on you two lets head to the living room. I'll make something to eat." Jinx motioned for Kyle to follow while Rhino didn't want to leave his spot.

"Here" Jinx handed Kyle a bowl of food.

Kyle stare at it a long minute. "What is it?"

She didn't answer him, just dig into her own bowl.

Slowly he sniffed the noddle and white blob on his fork and then took a nibble. Kyles eyes lit up "You've gotta be shitting me."

"Nope. It's not the traditional but its close enough." She spoke between bites.

Kyle shoved the food mixture into his mouth "I've haven't had mac and cheese in YEARS. This is awesome."

"Just a small thank you for earlier." She gave the other human a little grin then turned her attention to Rhino.

Sitting there with her, eating a meal that tasted of home, Kyle couldn't have felt more at ease.

A while later a nock came from her front door.

"It's open!"

Set'mi'wei entered to the site of Jinx, Kyle and Rhino relaxing on the couch. Jinx had pulled out her sketch book and pencils.

"And what have the two of you been up to?" Hein walked in behind Set'mi'wei.

"Nothing." Both humans answered together, causing the two Yautja to look at each other.

Jinx hopped up stretching "I have few things I need do. I won't be too long but I really have to get these things done."

"Of course, little spirit. I'd like to thank you for watching Ki'li while I took care a few matters with the elders." Set'mi'wei looked exhausted. Her skin color was pale and the skin under her eyes sagged a bit. "I'm sorry I haven't much time to celebrate with you."

"It's no problem. I'll come find you when I finish running around." Jinx saw all three guests out the door, grabbing hold of Hein as he was about to walk off with them. He gave her a questioning look but didn't speak up till the others had left.

"What's wrong Jin's?"

She started toward one of the places Nan'ku showed her "Ki'li told Torn and I about how stressed Set'mi'wei is. I know she came to celebrate my blooding and all, but she needs to chill or she'll snap at some point. I want to help her destress and I was hoping you could help."

Hein smiled to himself. Jinx was always so odd, though always in a good way. Lucky to have such a gentle and formidable ooman to call a friend. "Just tell me what you'd need pup."

Grinning from ear to ear, she knew she could count on Hein "Well, I was thinking, something us oomans did to spend time with each other and destress was called a sleepover. Where you'd talk, laugh, play games, eat a lot of not so healthy food, and lot more."

Thinking about past sleepovers made her smile drop I bit, she had missed simple times with friends. People that understood her and still enjoyed her company.

"Sounds like a good idea. Anything else?"

"Ugh, well, normally its only single gender at sleepovers, so just females. I was thinking of inviting some of my blood sisters to it. Get to know them better, or at least make an effort." Jinx shrugged a little unsure how that could all work.

The Yautja finally knew where Jinx was headed, the shopping district. "I believe a little ooman culture is just what the Yautja need right now."

She laughed beaming at the old Yautja. "You know just what to say Hein."

The look on her face and her body langue made him speechless. By Yautja common knowledge everything about Jinx currently told him she was in her prime.

"Does Jin's have a way to pay for what she intents to buy?" Hein didn't mind if she wanted him to pay for the goods she needed to buy, but a side of him was curious to see if she thought that far ahead.

"And just what do you think I was doing for the last week and a half?" Jinx huffed crossing her arm and tapped a foot at him "I maybe a warrior, but I can do quiet a few other things. Plus, the high elder apparently paid me for my cleaning when I was punished."

"Then why am I here pup? You seem to know what you'd like to do, not that I do not enjoy spending time with you." Hein's ears picked up the mutterings of Yautja's passing by, more rumors of missing oomans.

Jinx took hold of his large clawed hand, even leaning on him a bit "I asked you here to help me pick up the things I need. I know human bodies and what they do, not Yautja. I need to know the best tasting junk food that you guys like, the silly games you played when you were pups, and what stuff makes the best mixture to put on Yautja skin to calm and sooth it. Get it?"

Hein nodded his head. "Well a populate game pups play is prey or predator."

She stared at him eyes wide waiting for him to continue.

"The leader asks if the picked player of their choice would be predator or prey. If you choose predator the leader gives you an object or person you must hunt down and bring back. If you choose prey, you must go hide then the leader must come find you before you make it back to the chosen safe zone."

She shook her head, amused that ooman and Yautja culture had similar games. Predator or prey was a mix of truth or dare with hide and seek.

"Come on pup, I know the best shop for Yautja food." Hein pulled her toward a store.

A/N: I know its been years since I updated this story. I'm shocked people still read and review it. I even still get PMs about it. Let me bring you guys up to speed on my life. I've been supporting my family for the last five years and still am. I do still type but don't have time like I wish I would. I'm a manager at my current job and am work my ass off. I'm under staffed and going into holiday rush. I stood by my mother while she had devoiced my father, whom just died this year in July, and as his next of kin I had to sign paper work, along with deal with his family (who hate my mother and used my father). The main muse toward this story was and is my father. He was the one who always pushed me to keep typing and think about this story and the characters. I love and miss him dearly as I never got to say my good byes. (please don't send me sorry messages, thank you for the thoughts but I've moved on the best I can. There are people in need of it more than I.) That's the just of it. I will finish this story in due time as a loving memory toward father. I will do my best to type and update in a timely manner.
