A/N: Sorry about the long break guys. I was renovating, packing, moving, etc. I'm back now :)
Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight or the characters. A girl can dream though.
Edward and I had just got done doing our "nightly activities" and were now snuggling on our bed. I was reading the latest Jane Austen novel and Edward was absently playing with strands of my hair.
Then, we heard it. Our angel. Screaming in terror. Edward and I shot up like a rocket and raced to Renesmee's room.
We found her curled up in a tiny ball, her 3 year old body trembling in fright.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked in a motherly voice.
"I-I had a nightm-m-mare," she sobbed.
Edward scooped her up into his arms and tried to calm her. She calmed down the slightest bit at his touch, but continued shaking.
"Daddy, can I sleep in you and Momma's room tonight?" she mumbled against his chest.
"Of course you can, sweetheart," He said in a hushed voice.
It amazed how much Edward had transformed since Renesmee was born. It was like he was meant to be a father. And that was probably the case.
Edward handed our baby to me while he snatched her bear and pink blanket. I walked at a human pace to our bedroom and placed Renesmee down in the middle of the huge bed. Edward returned and we each got on a side of her.
After about an hour, she was asleep with a small smile on her face. Edward kept smiling at whatever she was dreaming about, and I was so curious that I gently reached down and placed her warm hand on my cheek.
I immediately saw images of the three of us. Edward and I pushing her on a swing, walking at the local park, and cooking her breakfast. They were happy dreams.
Me and Edward had taken away her nightmares. The thought made me grin.
"Our little angel," I murmured.
I will be writing more little one shots like this (NO JACOB!) Your reviews keep me motivated!
