A.N. Jerry's name was added to the character list so I decided to do a short Traci/Jerry.

T minus 25 and a half hours till Rookie Blue

Traci leaned against the outer wall of the Black Penny, cell phone in her hands. Her mind was in a chaotic swirl and she didn't even notice him until he pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

"Traci? Are you okay?" He asked gently.

"I don't know Jerry." She sighed, pushing away from him as she looked at her phone. "My mom called. Something came up and she can't watch Leo tomorrow night. Dex can't take him either. What am I supposed to do?" Her voice began rising in her panic. "I have the night shift tomorrow night and I can't leave my son."

Jerry pulled her close. "Let me help you" he whispered.

"How?"

"Traci. You are on shift tomorrow night. I work the day, no matter what. You know I love you and I'll help you."

"Jerry, I…" she trailed off.

"Traci, I told you, I like children. We go out together but I still haven't formally met your son."

She was saved from saying anything by the ringing of her cell phone. "Hey sweetie."

"Mommy," her heart melted at the voice on the line "when are you gonna be home?"

"Soon. I'll call you for a countdown." She smiled and hung up. She looked up to see Jerry watching her, love evident in his eyes. "Thank you." She kissed him and began walking away.

Jerry caught up with her. "Let me take you home."

"My car's here."

"Andy will take it." He snatched her keys and disappeared for a minute.

He returned and opened the car door for her. Before he closed it he leaned down. "I want to meet your son with you there. And, just so you know, I'm always here to lend a hand whenever you need." He kissed her again.
