I don't really know where this came from. I was just watching Death Note AMV's and reading it and...I dunno xP This came up. So enjoy it.

I haven't read/watched much Death Note, so some of it may be inaccurate.

It's set after when Mello and Matt died. And L, of course :/

Near walked into his house after a long day. He was tired, but he knew he wouldn't sleep.

When he saw who was sitting on his couch, he dropped everything he was holding.

"Sate. What are you doing here?" Near asked the blonde girl with short hair.

"Hm. Well. I think the question is, Where's Mello?" Sate asked and held her stuffed cat close.

"Mello has died." Near said. Sate looked down.

"I was afraid of that." Sate said and stood up. "Well, goodbye, Near. Thank you for your help."

"Wait..you're leaving already?" Near asked. Sate laughed.

"Oh, Near. I'm not leaving. In fact, I'm staying. For awhile." Sate said, then walked out the door.
