I know I know, I really should be working on fics that need updating, but this, and I kid you not, came to me while I was walking up the stairs to my room and eating Skittles.

Enjoy.

Everyone else was downstairs, planning what to wear to the church next week, planning arrangements that you hadn't gotten a chance to get to.
Everyone else except for me, of course.
I was in your room, lying on your bed, curled up on my side and staring over at where you usually stood in front of your mirror when you were showing me whatever new thing you had bought while shopping the day before (though it really wasn't necessary, because I had gone with you to the mall).
I pictured your smiling face, as you opened your bedroom door, peering around it to greet me because I had won the race back to your house and was already there, lounging in your room like it was my own.
I pulled out the bag of green skittles you usually kept in your bedside table, opening it and grabbing a handful.
You always scold me whenever I get into your sweets, but it makes me smile, seeing the way your cheeks puff out childishly, and the way you flail your arms around and close your eyes when I brush your chocolaty hair into them to distract you. You 'pretend' to trip on something and fall over across me, pinning me. But your victory is short lived and we wrestle playfully for a few minutes before collapsing next to each other, you curling up against me and brushing my long hair out of my face so you can see me better. A soft, tender kiss is exchanged between us and you laugh slightly, wrapping your arms around me as I do the same to you.
I slide one of the skittles into my mouth, wincing at the flavor.
Green skittles are disgusting.
Chewing it slowly, I swallow it down, sitting up slightly on your bed.
I wish you were here with me, so that I didn't have to eat these, so that I could just have you in my arms and hold you close while you ate those off-tasting candies.
But I can't have you here.
Yesterday when we were racing home, you were hit by a car.
I didn't know until I'd waited for you for over an hour.
And by then, I knew something was wrong.
I retraced my steps, going back to the crosswalk by the skate park, and you were lying there, on the ground, eyes closed.
By the time we had been able to get you to the hospital, me holding your hand the whole way, willing you to just open your beautiful, beautiful, bright blue eyes once more, it was too late.
When the ambulance pulled into the parking lot...you were gone.
So I'll lay here on your bed, in your room, blocking out the sounds of your relatives crying and talking, just lying here, eating these horribly disgusting green skittles...
...and hoping some day I'll be able to eat them with you...

My Xemnas said this would make people upset, so...-passes out tissues-

Were you able to tell who they were -despite the character tags...-?
