Rating: T

Paring: Musashi x Sena

Word: Bandana

Author's Note: Hey guys! Um, well, haven't wrote anything from ES 21 in forever and I just reread the series. Still in love with it. So, here you go. Again, if you want, leave a word and a pairing and I'll try to get to it. Thank you!

Sena stared at the man in front of him. He stared long and hard without really realizing it. He stared for at least a good three minutes before the others started to notice something was off. He stared until the other man (who was trying his damned hardest to ignore it) let out a sigh and turned around from where he was standing. He even stared for a full good minute afterwards, hardly noticing the fact the man had turned to face him.

"Sena," the man tried to gain his attention.

Still, Sena only continued to stare at the man, or more specifically, on top of the man's head. Nothing was particularily out of order, his face looked the same as it did everyday. His chin held a ruggid looking beard, his mouth was set in a firm line and on top of his head was his football helmet slightly dirty with the day's practice. Yet, Sena was just staring at the older man in front of him. Nothing looked different than it had the other days, but it really wasn't that Sena was concerned about. What Sena was really concered about was what the fact he could see a bit of cloth peeking out from underneath the helmet.

It was green.

"Sena," the other man tried to call out to him again, taking his helmet off and tucking it under his arm. Once again, there was no response from the shorter male.

When the other man had taken his helmet off, it gave Sena a full view of what was underneath: a bandana.

Now, this wasn't an uncommon sight to see. The older-looking man had worn bandanas before, especially when he was working with his construction crew, but Sena continued to stare at it. From an outsider's view, there was nothing worth noting about the bandana. It was green, plain and simple, with an un-unique design covering it from corner to corner. Absolutely no reason for someone to stare continuously at when they could have been practicing (seriously, what the hell, Sena). To a passerby it would definitely seem that way.

However, to Sena, it was not that meaningless.

The man could only stare back into brown eyes before trying again, "Sena?"

Sena, barely noticing he was being talked to, give a mumbled response, "It's green."

The other man said nothing but shifted on his feet. To anyone else, it would look like a stitled and awkward conversation and yeah, maybe it was a little awkward, but hey, when you had a cute running back in front of you staring at you for the past five minutes, you would be a little awkward too. Though, this didn't make a diffence to Sena.

"It's green," he muttered again.

The other man said nothing for a bit until he sighed once again and said, "Yeah. It is."

A moment of silence passed. Then another. Then a third before Sena broke out into an impossibly wide grin, "I knew it!"

Musashi grumbled before scratching the back of his head lightly, a light blush dusting his cheeks. To anyone else, they would dare say it looked like he was embarrassed.

Sena gave a laugh and Musashi smiled as well. Then both went back to practice immediately due to a rain of bullets being shot at their feet and a maniacal voice sounding in the background for them to 'stop with the fucking mushy-gushy-lovey-dovey-doe-eyed crap and get back to training, the Christman Bowl ain't going to fucking win itself!'

To anyone else, it was a weird but semi-normal moment for Deimon High's football club. To anyone else, it was just Sena being Sena and Musashi being Musashi. To anyone else, it was just a green bandana. To anyone else, anyways.

However, if they were to look hard enough, they would notice the bandana is the same shade of green as Sena's eye shield. They would also notice that on one of the corners of the bandana, there were some barely noticeable numbers.

21 + 11

But that was only between them.
