Disclaimer: I do not own anything. But I want to have a digimon ;_; *sobbing*
A/N: I'm fond of Kenyako, yeeeeeaaaaah ^_^ The end of the episode 25 of Digimon Adventure 02 has melted my heart, so here is some kind of novelisation for it. Fluffy... so fluffy, that it's almost sickly, lol ^_^
(I don't know the correct English translation for the device the Digi-destined use. In Russian(in which I watch all the Digimon series)it is called and spelled as the digivice, so correct me if anything same is about Miyako's message.)
Reviews bring me into ecstasy.
He always thought he could be by himself. He could be independent, omniponent, invicible.
He needed no partners, no friends, no any slightest expression of support. He always believed it made him pathetic, and the single thought of it frightened the hell out of him.
Now he was needed. Now he had support, a partner-digimon, and...friends? Wormmon was his friend, but was it enough? Did he know what the friends meant? Was he ready to let them in...into his life?
He felt he wasn't ready. He had made a step ahead and two steps back - again.
But his digivice made a sound signaling that a message was received.
The whole company of Digi-Destined was confused. The partnership with Ken had failed once again as he and Wormmon had quickly slipped away. The only person who was calm about the uncomfortable situation was Miyako.
He read the message and turned his head for a second. It was already hard to determine the emotions shown on his face from that distance. But as the former Kaiser turned back it was clearly understood he was smiling.
Miyako smiled as well. She knew that her message had reached the receiver - not just his eyes or mind. It had reached his heart.
"Ken-chan, why are you-?.." Wormmon cut his question indecisively.
"What is it, Wormmon?"
"Well...no, nothing much."
Digimon decided not to worry Ken with his guesses. Actually, Wormmon couldn't get used to see his partner smiling so - so - warmly. But he noticed such unusual openness in his look and smiled with a wide inner smile.
Ken hardly fell asleep that night as he was remembering the sweet words again and again.
"Thank you, Miyako." He murmured before slipping into some though hardly remembered, but pleasant dream.
Everything was about to change. Once cold heart began to warm.
"I'll be always waiting for a day when you'll join us. Thanks for everything. - Miyako."
