The intense bright rays beam down on a traditional wooden Japanese style mansion that includes two koi ponds, a stone pathway and a large thick tall wooden wall that completely encompasses the vicinity.

A young man, approximately twenty-two or a year older was adorned in a black male kimono, casually occupied a seat behind a dark stained Oak office desk.

"Come on in, Gokudera-kun." The man was ordering before the door was opening and closing behind the individual.

A young man, with short silver hair and green eyeswas clad in a tailored black suit with a Blood red dress shirt underneath along with a simple black tie, enters inside of the room.

"Tenth...I got here as fast as I could when you called for me! Is there something wrong?!" The other young man, by the name of Gokudera Hayato, speedily inquires about his abrupt summons to the Vongola's Headquarters.

He swiftly hunkered down in an empty seat while he stared at the male with orange spiky hair and brown eyes, who sat in front of him.

Hayato's eyes then caught sight of a silver linked chain that displayed the young man's respective Vongola ring.

After all, the man before him earned the title of "Tenth" after he successfully completed a series of trials that proved his right to inherit the prestigious Vongola's name.

"The reason why I called is because there is a favor or better yet a long term assignment that I'm going to put you on.. The mission will only end until I terminate the order." The man, with the title Tenth, speaks up.

'I wonder what could it be? A long term assignment?' The silver haired male curiously pondered.

He eventually was overhearing the sound of a hollow bamboo stick repeatedly smacking against the edge of the stone enclosure.

"If the boss requested me for a job then I will do it. What is it?" The young man then queries about the details of the mission.

The Tenth simply opens his eyes before he voices, "I need for you to serve as security detail for one of our close family member. You should be quite familiar with her."

'It's a woman that I should know?' Hayato was privately thinking after listening to the Tenth's previous comment.

"It seems as if this family member has recently received numerous death threats, which has ultimately forced her to come back home for safety measures."

"The distance is too far for me to deploy one of my guardians, plus that would severely handicap us in some type of fashion on the home front."

"So I chose you for this task because I can wholeheartedly trust that you will make the necessary decisions for them."

"Do you accept the offer?" The brunette man finally asked for his subordinate's decision.

Hayato did not show any signs of hesitation when answering the question, "Yes, I will do it for the Tenth!"

Brown eyes momentarily glance at the alarm clock that grace the surface of his desk to check the time. He then discloses, "Her flight is due to arrive in Japan...in about twenty minutes."

"Oh...one more thing Gokudera-san," The Vongola's Boss purposely pausing until receiving his Storm Guardian's attention before forewarning him. "try not to become too tense if you don't immediately recognize her. More than likely, she will probably notice you first."

The green eyed male then bowed his head out of respect and offered good parting words to his boss after their meeting concluded.

'Forgive me for doing this to you but this mission is for your own good, Gokureda-san.' The brunette male somberly concluded while he watched one of his most trusted friends exited his office.

'How come I wasn't aware that one of our closest family members was being subjected to death threats?'

'Who in there right mind would be stupid enough to even try the Vongola Famiglia?'

Hayato was currently collecting his thoughts after motoring up to a red traffic light. The dozen metallic silver rings that grace his right hand suddenly captures his sights.

'Defeat the enemy with a relentless stream of attacks that never falters. Always at the center of an attack. The furious storm that never rests.'

"Honk" "Honk" The sudden sound of a car's horn jolted him out of his deep thoughts before he realized that the light was now green.

'I wonder why I thought about that all of a sudden?' The silver haired male privately pondered to himself right before he swerved in to the airport's parking lot.

"Tsuna-kun," A petite woman with long orange hair and brown eyes, who wears an orange and yellow kimono, calls out to the young man.

The man, name Tsuna, cleared his throat to adjust his tone once he spotted the woman in front of him.

"Yes, what is Kyoko-chan?" Tsuna politely addresses the woman by her given name.

"Why didn't you tell Gokudera-san who he has to pick up from the airport? You know how he feels about surprises." The woman, named Kyoko, fretfully inquired about her husband's plan for Hayato.

He was stifling a sudden yawn before rubbing his eyes while explaining, "Sooner or later, he is going to find out. Besides, I really don't think he would be that upset."

"I do hope you know what you are doing." Kyoko claims after she takes a seat next to him as she sincerely expresses, "I really just want everyone to be together again like when we were younger."

The brunette was gently enclosing her within his arms, drawing her closer to him and lazily resting his chin on the crown of her head.

"Same here, same here," Tsuna softly uttered to his wife as he tightened his hold around her petite waist.

0000

'Where's this person?!' Hayato irritably stews to himself.

He tried not to draw too much attention to himself but just enough so that whoever the Tenth ordered him to pick up would easily recognized him.

The young male deliberately stood amongst a row of people with signs and whiteboards that was displayed toward the waves of fliers in order to ensnare their respective individual's attention.

'Ugh...I swear being the top Mafioso famiglia is hard work!'

'I need a freaking sign or something or did they just walk pass me?' The silver haired Mafioso was so deep in his thoughts that he did not notice someone drew near him.

"Gokudera-kun?" A feminine voice was politely questioning.

'Wait a minute...was that a voice?' His instincts kicked it at the sound of the voice before he deduced, 'It must be someone I know in order for them to use that surname.'

The Storm Guardian could not visually see the person because one of his hands was currently over his eyes due to his inner battle with frustration.

"Mommy, who is he?" A little child's voice unexpectedly rings in his ear as he slowly removes his hand from in front of his face.

His green eyes behold a beautiful young woman with chin length brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. She was not too pale and not too tan with minimal makeup on her face. She stands about three or four inches shorter than him.

The woman was wearing a large beige floppy straw hat, a royal blue ankle length sundress with two small triangle straps crossing in the back, a dark brown shoulder bag and brown ankle length Gladiator sandals adorning her feet.

The only word he could audibly uttered from his mouth was her name, "Haru-chan?"

Before the woman name Haru answers his question, the sound of the child by her side catches his attention, "Mommy, who is he?"

Hayato eventually peered down to see a little girl with brown hair that was similar in color to Haru's hair. She was dressed in a blue overall suit, a baby pink shirt with brown baby sandals.

However, the most striking feature on the toddler were the color of her eyes. They were a beautiful brownish-green hue that somewhat strangely favored his own set of eyes.

Haru then squats until she reaches her daughter's eye level and explains, "This is an old friend of your mommy's. He is going to take us to go see Uncle Tsuna and Aunt Kyoko, wouldn't you like that?"

Meanwhile Hayato was repeatedly trying to process the simple fact that his assignment is protecting Haru and this little girl, who is calling her "mommy".

The young male unknowingly stared at the toddler until she finally faced him and eventually flashed what he assumed was a glare.

Haru was returning to her normal height while bringing the little girl up on to her waist, firmly holding her in place and chiming, "We are ready to go whenever you are."

'I really need a smoke after this kind of encounter!' The silver haired Mafioso inwardly proclaimed to himself as his need for nicotine rapidly skyrocketed after he first saw her face.

'...but it seems as if she matured from the last time I saw her.' Hayato privately conceives but instead it sounds like this, "Do you have your luggage already?"

Her mouth was forming an "o" shape as her free hand was resting on top of her hat before disclosing, "Hahi, I almost forgot about that! Haru forgot about the luggage!"

Hayato immediately rejected his previous thought then corrected it, 'Well not completely…'

"Come on, we don't want to keep the Tenth waiting now do we?" The lone male directs more toward himself than the two females were in front of him.

'I wonder why the Tenth didn't tell me that I was going to be picking up Haru and…her daughter.'

0000

"I hear them." Kyoko was quietly shushing the crowd before Hayato was grumpily complaining about how dark the room is and eventually flipping on the lights.

"Surprise!" came the shouts of happiness, as well as mountains of confetti and of course the scaredness from all three of them. Yes, even the 10th Storm Guardian was a bit shocked.

Tsuna then witnessed his wife was the first to greet their guests since they were best friends and the first one she solidified with amongst the craziness of the Mafia's world.

"Haru-chan!" Kyoko loudly exclaims once she finally spots her best friend.

"Kyoko-chan," The brunette returned the gesture and enclosed the woman in a tight hug that lasted more then five seconds.

"Your hair has grown longer!" Kyoko complimented her, whose hands were pratically glued onto the younger female to her left.

A set a of green eyes was then curiously watching Haru touching her hair absentmindedly with one of her hands before settling it on one of her shoulders, "Mine, it seems as if you grew your hair out."

The orange haired woman did not verbally respond to the question but instead she physically nodded her head.

"So...this must be the rambunctious Chiharu I've heard so much about! How are you Chiharu-chan?" She asks after she squats to the little girl's height.

The little girl was not bashful whatsoever and even stared her dead in the face before she replied with, "Good".

Kyoko was bringing her hands to her checks, shaking her head and exasperating, "She is so adorable!"

Tsuna casually approached with a smile apparent on his face after he realized that Haru brought her along with her.

"I'm glad you decided to come back, Haru-chan. It's reassuring knowing that you are within the country with Chiharu-chan." The brunette politely greets them with a warm smile evident on his face.

'So she was the one receiving the death threats? Where was she when it happened?' He The silver haired male was privately wondering as a sudden sense of concern was coursing through his body for Haru and her child.

The young woman slightly tilts her head to the side with a small smile on her face and cheerfully responds, "Haru knows that Tsuna-san's a tough boss to beat! I had a feeling you were going to ask us to come back soon. Chiharu and Haru are forever grateful to have someone like you."

Hayato overheared the "-san" after Tsuna's name, which would have sounded a bit odd to him a while back.

It took a few seconds of thought until he finally recalled that he was the direct and primary cause of the honorific change. It unknowningly brought a small yet unnoticed smile on to his face.

Brown eyes were peering up to see Hayato zoning out again before hearing his wife's voice saying, "Come in and meet everyone! They are just dying to see you, Haru-chan!"

"Hahi, you went all out for Haru, Kyoko-chan?" Haru rhetorically asks with visible shock on her face.

"Of course Haru-chan, you are family and family looks out for family." The orange haired woman immediately reminded her of her position within the Vongola Famiglia.

The Storm Guardian purposely hung back as Kyoko animatedly chatted away with the guests of honor. He then took notice that his boss secretly searched for signs of Haru's true feelings about her sudden decision to move back to Japan.

"We don't want to keep the others waiting, now do we?" Kyoko was inquiring while clutching Haru's other hand and guiding her to the living room.

Tsuna then faces Hayato, "I know you will keep a close eye on her. After all, you are my right hand man."

His statement earned a small grin on his face except this one came with a little hesitation, 'What's really going on here?'

"We should join them in the living room. We don't want them to think we are discussing other business." The brunette male was jokingly claiming while releasing a deep breath.

The taller of the two merely nods his head before the two males whirl in the direction of the living room.

Haru was not about to openly admit just how nervous and anxious she was to finally see everyone again, especially after her long hiatus from the Vongola Famiglia.

She abruptly studies the intense expression Tsuna briefly flashes at her before a warm smile stretches across his face.

It was the exact same expression that Hayato shown her earlier at the airport. They were trying to figure out whether or not she was the real Miura Haru. The Haru that…

The brunette was slightly shaking her head and ultimately deciding to focus on the positives that were about to occur now that she was back in Japan.

The young woman was soon feeling someone's hand soothingly rubbing her hair with their hand upon entering the room first. "Haru is still the same TO THE EXTERME!"

Her eyes then peeked up to see Sasagawa Ryohei with his hair now slightly spiked up to the sky. He wears a simple black suit with a Tangerine orange dress shirt and a black tie.

"It's too crowded in here." A man with a similar suit, except with a purple dress shirt whose hair was a bit messier than usual, annoyingly gruffs.

'So far that's two out of the five that are still the same...especially Hibari-san hating crowds.' The young woman inwardly assumed after she opted not to approach Hibari since he naturally radiated a dangerous aura around him.

"Yo Haru! You sure did grow taller." A man with spiky black hair, an Aqua blue dress shirt underneath a black suit with a katana that hangs off the right side of his shoulder, merrily greets her.

"I've gotten taller? You're the one that's taller!" She was happily retorting toward the young man, whose name is Yamamato Takeshi.

"Haru-chan's back! Can you make me some takoyaki?" A taller version of Lambo, with a cow print shirt underneath a black blazer, khaki pants and black sandals adorn his feet, requested from the brunette woman.

"My, my, my, Lambo-kun! You sure have grown in to such a handsome young man since Haru last saw you." Haru states before she develops the urge to ruffle his hair but decides to go ahead and do it anyway.

The brunette eventually spots Dokuro Chrome along with her two personal bodyguards, Ken and Chikusa, somewhere away from all of the excitement.

She already knew that she posed absolutely no threat to the girl nevertheless she was completely aware at how overprotective they were of their master Rukudo Mukuro, who often times laid dormant within her subconsciousness.

"Hey Chrome," Haru politely greeted her after she trekked toward the indigo haired woman and squatted down to Chrome's height.

She was lazily opening her eyes and gently wiping the sleep away from her eyes. Her pupils swiftly dilate to behold Haru in front of her.

"Hello there Haru-san," Chrome quietly greets her before she slowly stretches out to her original height.

"How about we eat?" Tsuna promptly suggested to his family, who all simultaneously nodded their heads in agreement.
