Author's Note: Okay... I'm up super late so this is probably crap (I have done NO editting) but I need to get this idea out before I reread it and label it crap. There are spoilers for the latest DGM chapter (199... which I highly recommend you go read up to NOW, mangareader's the best site I've found btw). I also am being kinda selfish and wanna post the first story inspired by this chapter. But anyways, I apologize for not updateing so long and the crappiness of this but the latest chapter was so amazing it broke my writer's block. I feel like I'm about to cry now. I will be editting this when I have time not consumed by homework and I'll probably add it to my one-shot collection, but for now, enjoy! Any suggestions are appreciated!

And god, everything in this moment felt too perfect, too right. As everything had fallen apart, somehow things had suddenly changed. And Allen wanted to cry because the tragedy, the hurt, the disaster made these little victories so much better.

Because God knew that it had hurt. It had hurt seeing Kanda's past, and it had hurt seeing how everyone continued to try and manipulate him by turning everything dear against him. It had hurt, Kanda's shout of how Allen was nothing more than a Noah who ruined everything. And it had hurt oh so bad as he pulled up a smile and became a martyr once more so Kanda and Alma could be together. There was the pain of Kanda driving Mugen through his stomach, and the sensation of the Noah trying to take over. There was seeing Alma's twisted soul and seeing how everything could still get worse. It all hurt. And it hurt horribly as he watched and could do nothing as Alma self-destructed and Kanda crumbled in the blast.

But things finally went right. None of them had ever been given such a break before, and it was exhilarating. The bittersweet tears as he held Alma close, and the surge of joy as that not-so-horrible-anymore nickname of moyashi was heard, whispering from behind. And they could finally take control of their lives. It felt too good, too perfect remembering that wonderful first mission with a promise for them to meet again, and when his real name, his full true name slipped past Kanda's mouth with a smile and thanks, Allen's heart felt like it could burst. He ached a little as Kanda disappeared into the gate, a dark figure cradled in his arms, but they were finally in control and those two had given him the courage to step forward.

He would not let innocence or dark matter, church or Noah ruin get in the way anymore.

Allen Walker was finally in control.
