Fear if the Storm (KaidoxOc)
Hitomi stared out the window in her second period class — English— half asleep. She heard an occasional hiss escape next to her, not fazing her a bit.
"Looks likes it's gonna rain." Momo commented in front of her as he stretched. The baka that he was hit her in the forehead.
"Thanks a lot Momo-chan!" She squeaked as she held her forehead, glaring at him.
He leaned back to stare at her, confused at what was going on. "Oh Hitomi, I didn't know you were there. Gomen."
She glared more at her purple eyed classmate.
Then a crack of thunder echoed, shaking the building from the foundation up.
A shiver raced through her body as the strawberry blond hair stood on end at the base of her neck. Her eyes widen as she covered her eyes, wanting it to go away. She hated every storm that made its way through the area. Every time one was there, she would cringe in a corner, away from a window with music blaring in her ears.
"Ms. Kishima, may I go to the nurse's office?" Hitomi asked with a raise of her hand. She bit her lip, waiting for her teacher to decide.
"Yes, Kaoru you escort-" Ms. Kishima blinked as she saw a blue of what was her female student.
"Oh, Mamushi has guard duty." Momo taunted, only to groan in pain after Kaido forced his head to meet the desk.
He grumbled with a hiss as he walked out the door.
She ran down the stairs until she was on the first floor, only to curl up in a corner that was far away from a window. Pulling out her iPod, she started to listen to Kabuki soundtracks that her father got for her one Christmas.
With another crack, she got into a tighter ball, turning the music louder. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves with it barely helping.
Kaido walked down the steps, staring down in an intense way but not a glaring way that he usually did. On the last step, he saw her sitting in a corner with music blaring in her ears. He walked up to her, kicking her foot, causing the strawberry blond and chocolate brown eyed girl to jump at the touch. He watched the ear buds fall from her ears that were pierced twice on the left and one on the right.
"This isn't the nurse's office to me." He stated with a hiss.
"I know that. Now leave me alone." She growled as she buried her face into her knees.
"You hate storms? Fshuu." He asked with a raise of an eyebrow.
She nodded, only to feel something warm settle next to her, causing her to jump once more. Then arms wrapped around her, holding her close and tight against the other body.
"I'll protect you then." He said, muttering it into her ear. "Why do you hate storms?"
"I just don't- I just don't know why." She answered.
He nodded and pecked her cheek.
"I'll protect you. I'll pick ya up on Friday at 7:00 fshuu." He said, holding her close so she could feel safe from the storms that will happen and pass. He let a hiss out, his hand gliding across her slick hair, smiling while he did so.
