This is just a little o/s. I found a little story posted on a profile, and decided to make a longer one out of it. It's a little sad. Consider yourself warned.

Clary tightened her grip on her boyfriend of two years, Jace Wayland, as he zoomed down the streets.

She usually enjoyed riding on his motorcycle with him, but she couldn't help but notice they were going a little too fast, at 90 mp.

She disliked wearing a helmet, and Jace decided since the roads were pretty much deserted, he'd let her go just this once without wearing her helmet.

He was wearing his, and all Clary could see of his magnificent golden hair, were the soft curls on the nape of his neck.

"Jace," she murmured in his ear, knowing he could hear her, even over the howling of the wind. "Slow down, I'm scared."

Jace threw back his head and laughed, and Clary squeaked, grabbing tighter at his waist.

"Jace!"

"Calm down, Clary, this is fun."

She buried her face in his shoulder and shook her head. Why wasn't he slowing down?

"This isn't fun," she complained. "Please. I'm really scared!"

Jace was quiet for moment. "First," he said, in that teasing voice of his. "Tell me you love me."

Clary couldn't help but notice that his voice was a little sad.

"I love you, Jace. More than you know. Now slow down!"

Jace gave a heavy sigh.

"Give me a hug, please."

Clary shook her head at him. What a goofball, she thought with exasperation.

She slid her arms around and up his ribs, clutching him tighter to her. She pressed her lips softly to his neck.

"Please, slow down now?"

"Fine." Jace didn't slow down. "Can you take my helmet off and put it on, for a sec? It's really bugging me."

All this, just to get him to slow down, Clary thought. I really wish he'd try out for drama.

"You're lucky you're so damn cute," she muttered, pulling off his sleek, too-big-for-her-head-helmet, and plopping it on her head.

"There. JACE-"

HERALD

Teen couple Clarissa Fray and Jace Wayland were in a motorcycle crash yesterday.

Fray, was fortunately wearing a helmet at the time, and is now in the hospital with minor injuries.

Unfortunately for Wayland, however, was not wearing a helmet, and did not survive the crash.

Jace had discovered, half way down the road, that the brakes had broken, but didn't want to tell Clary. Instead, he wanted to hear her tell him that she lived him, felt her hug for the last time, and insisted she wore his helmet, even if it meant him dying.

I have the edited version of this on my profile. *sniffles* I hate having to kill Jace...
