"I'm not a bender," Song said uncertainly as the Fire Man continued to advance.

"Mm?" he hummed, pinning her body to the bedroom wall. "And what does that have to do with anything?" Song looked down, averting her gaze.

"You're going on an expedition," she pointed. "They're all talking about it."

"I'm always going on various expeditions for the Fire Lord. Why should this be any different?" Song looked back up.

"You're going to the North Pole." There was just the slightest pause from him but, other than that, Song did not detect any other change in his behavior.

"And?" he asked, as if there was supposed to be any significance about it. He dipped his head closer to her neck, gently blowing on her collarbone. She shoved him back a few inches.

"Don't 'and' me," she snapped, irritated. "You know exactly what I mean."

"If you're talking about that prophecy your mother gave me, I don't believe a word of it."

"I know you don't. I, however, do." Zhao raised an eyebrow curiously.

"Why should you care?" he asked, a smirk coming to his face. "I thought you didn't care what happened to me. Let's see, what were your exact words that time? 'Go screw myself?'"

"Ugh!" she exclaimed, becoming annoyed with his pretentious behavior. "Shut up! You know that was a long time ago. It's different now." Song realized a second too late that tears began to spring into her eyes. She tried wiping them away so he wouldn't see. It was futile, she knew, as he sighed, his countenance relaxing. He moved closer to her, realizing how upset she was, and gently lifted her face to him.

"Do you trust me?"

"I shouldn't."

"No, that's not the question. Do you trust me?" She took a moment of staring into his golden eyes before answering.

"Yes."

"Then trust me when I say, I will come out of the North Pole, alive."

Needless to say, Song was heartbroken when word arrived of the fate of the great Moonslayer.
