Cherokee stares at the mirror in disgust. She's not ugly, that's for sure. Her long, platinum blonde hair frames her pale, heart shaped face and her hair compliments her crystal blue eyes perfectly.

And that's what she hates about herself: her hair. She hates how it's too light to be a 'proper' shade of blonde but too dark to be considered pure, snowy white.

"I'm going to dye my hair," she declares proudly.

"Why would you do that?" Raphael asks, peeking his head into Cherokee's room.

"I hate my hair," she says, pouting.

"I don't," he runs his hand through her hair absent-mindedly.

"But you're my boyfriend. You're biased!" Cherokee says childishly.

"I'm not biased in saying you're gorgeous and you shouldn't change a thing about yourself," Raphael says stubbornly.

"How about we compromise?" She's so eager Raphael can't refuse her offer.

"Fine," he says, caving into Cherokee's subtle begging. She bounces on the balls of her feet happily. "What do you have in mind?" She rushes to her closet and pulls out a list of colors and with a preview of what the colors looked like.

"You can choose the color of my dye!" Raphael thumbs through the colors thoughtfully.

"No green, it would look gross," and with that, he tosses the sheet starting with avocado to the side.

"But I wanted to dye my hair cabbage green!" Cherokee says with a muffled giggle. "Please tell me you aren't serious," Raphael says, with a straight face.

"Don't worry, I wasn't. Goodness, you take everything so literally," she says, kissing him on the cheek to assure him of her statement.

"How about this?" Raphael pointed to mahogany, a deep, rich brown-red color.

"Too plain. I want to make a statement with my new color," she explains.

"How about you mix a bunch of colors? You're more vibrant than just one color, so you can do that to express that in your hair," Raphael suggests. Cherokee grins in approval.

"I like that idea," she says and begins to plot what colors she would choose. Raphael jokingly sighs in exasperation, curious as to what colors she'd choose.

"I've got the perfect color!" She exclaims happily.

"What do you have?" He asks.

"Instead of doing my whole head of hair one odd mixture that might fade badly, I was thinking of dying my hair golden blonde as a base color. Then I'd have a rainbow of streaks that are different shades of purple, blue and pink. What do you think?" Cherokee asks hopefully.

"It's odd and unique. I approve!" She squeals in delight and kisses him in her happiness.
