Tsunade stared at the girl who stood before her.

Sakura, with her looks and skills, Tsunade could see what Jiraiya meant when he said she was a mini-Tsunade.

Tsunade watched from a distance as her student trained, her fist connecting with the ground again and again until she was finally able to erupt the solid ground...

Her determination every day in training harder to protect the ones she loves...to protect her comrades...

To as she said...not be in the way...to actually help out...

Two-years-later and Tsunade is watching Jiraiya and Naruto return to the village.

Happily she informs her student and sees the delight on Sakura's face as she walks outside...calmly, cooly as if Naruto was never gone.

But Tsunade sits by the window and watches as the girl reaches outside...still walking...and then she is running, a smile lighting-up her face as she races to her comrade...to Naruto.

Tsunade greets Naruto later, sees the change in him...realizing then that he will surpass Jiraiya soon...like Sakura will surpass her soon...

She watches as she sends the two on missions...hears reports on their successes...smiles when she hears they lived and passed another mission...

But she still remembers that day Jiraiya and her watched Sakura and Naruto fight Kakashi after two-years apart...

That day she saw their Generation step-up and she knew they would surpass her very soon.

She denied it...the first time Jiraiya said they had both made copies of themselfs...

Later she would grudgingly agree...

But that wasn't until she saw Sakura beat-up Naruto, sending the poor-boy flying literaly out of the Village...

She laughed later when Jiraiya pointed out she had done the same to him when they were younger...

Tsunade stared at Sakura and saw somewhat of a reflection of herself in her...but that didn't last, because soon she saw that Sakura was better than her, stronger, and more determined to protect the ones she loves...

She laughs now when Jiraiya says they made copies of themselfs...but she secretly begins to disagrees when she sees Sakura begin to blush around Naruto...

That's when she starts to think the two are more than what she and Jiraiya were...

They are stonger and they will be better then them.

And when she sees Sakura kiss Naruto's cheek, she leans over and smugly tells Jiraiya the two are definetly not like him and her, anymore...

But the old man doesn't like to loose and stubbornly tell her back, with a wink...

That they are what they could have been...
