Disclaimer: You want to cancel the show, FOX? Fine, hand it over, we know what we're doing! And we're not even looking for profit.
Author's Note: Killing Ames off doesn't seem to be working for you guys, so I found her another way to piss off Guerrero. Is there even snow in Frisco? Well, maybe they're not in the city.
"So who are we waiting for again?"
Guerrero gave Ames an impatient look.
"I'm just saying, no one can consider standing two hours in a snow storm normal working conditions, not even you! Maybe he's not going to show. Maybe he's not worth loosing all our toes to frostbite."
"Remember how I told you you can wait in the car?" Guerrero didn't wait for an answer. "Yeah. So stop bitching about a few snow flakes."
Ames wanted to shoot back a sarcastic remark of her own, but her chattering teeth wouldn't let her, so she gave Guerrero a murderous glare. How the man could stand there without being affected by the cold was a mystery really. Sometimes he was worse than Chance in matters of determination. Finally he took pity on her and fished a few notes out of his pocket.
"Go buy yourself a coffee. And some real footwear."
"With ten bucks?" He gave her another impatient look.
"Okay, look, I'm sorry." she whined. "How was I supposed to know we'd be chasing the guy through the whole city on foot and then just wait until he gets out of that… club?"
"Go."
"And how do I know you'll still be here when I come back?"
"Okay, then don't!"
Guerrero was about to snatch his money back out of Ames' hand when he became tense. She followed his gaze and glanced over to the other side of the road. Two men had just left the gentlemen's club at the other side of the street. One of them was the smuggler Guerrero had been waiting for, but when his eyes caught sight of the other man his eyes grew wide.
"Who's that second guy? You know him?"
"Yeah. And he can't see me. Stand here!" Guerrero pulled Ames in the line of view by her sleeve to shield himself from the men now crossing the street.
Ames understood what she had to do. Before Guerrero could react she pulled him into a tight embrace, effectively covering his face and started kissing him passionately, so that her hair was blocking the view of Guerrero's head to the two men as they passed by. She could feel Guerrero's body turn to stone as she pressed hers against him. After a few seconds, when the men had passed by, he finally moved.
Guerrero quickly released himself from her arms. Ames felt one of his feet pull hers from under her body and after two jabs to her upper body she found herself lying flat on the muddy pavement. She looked up at him in shock.
"But I thought-"
"This is not a Gangster movie and it's definitely not a 90s crime drama series. People do not do that in real life to hide their faces. If you ever so much as think of doing that again you'll find your body in the gutter. And your head in the trunk of my car." Guerrero stated matter-of-factly, although he looked a bit shaken. He walked off after their target and Ames watched as he swiped his sleeve over his mouth.
"Hey, my kissing skills aren't that bad!" she muttered.
I don't normally do drabbles, but this is a classic theme on tv and I wanted to give it a shot. So feel free to hate Ames for kissing Guerrero in the reviews as long as you REVIEW! Thanks!
