:( I finally wrote something for this story... I FINALLY finished Mockingjay! :O It was... depressing. Really. Prim was such a sweet character... I couldn't believe that everyone died. The only people left were Annie, Peeta, and Katniss. -.- And... everyone either died or went crazy, except for Gale, who... left.
At any rate, this was inspired by Prim's death. I knew it couldn't be coincidence that Prim burned to death while Katniss is the Girl on Fire. So... I wrote this. ^^ I always figured that Prim couldn't be as perfect as she seemed...
Never let the fire burn out
That spark of hope is all she's got
Little angel tried to fly
But she fell down; her wings were broken
Is it you?

Primrose Everdeen was perfect.
She had the sort of soft blond hair that no one saw these days, and big blue eyes that could have charmed a killer into submission. She was mature beyond her years, clever, and kind. She was strong at all the right times.
Primrose Everdeen was weak.
She was too compassionate, too empathetic; and always put her own life second. She was scared of death and scared of dying, and it shamed her, especially in the face of a sister who had always been stronger and faster and smarter and braver.
Primrose Everdeen was jealous beyond anything; and she knew that it wasn't fair- that none of this had been brought on Katniss for the asking- but it wasn't something she could help, because Katniss was the Girl on Fire, and Prim was just the little sister who'd become famous for her weakness.
It wasn't that she resented that, or Katniss- really, she was grateful, because Katniss had saved her from death, or an even worse fate. It would have been nice to have had a chance to show the world that she could burn too, and that maybe the Girl on Fire wasn't the only one who could burn.
"Not you," they said. "Prim's hands were made for healing, not fire, and wouldn't that fire gobble up a girl so fair and compassionate anyway?"
The Girl on Fire burned so brightly that she had blinded everyone else.
It wasn't that Prim wanted to steal Katniss's spotlight either, or take the credit she didn't deserve. But when she was offered the chance to finally burn, she jumped at it- fair, sweet, little Prim had leapt upon her own funeral pyre without realizing what she was getting into.
They were right, those who said that the fire would eat her whole.
But it was all worth it in the end, just for a few moments to finally burn alive.
Yeah... sorta depressing... But I hope that you enjoyed! 0.0 Hope that didn't sound creepy at the end- what I meant was that Prim was happy to finally be the 'Girl on Fire,' so to speak...
Anyway! Please review! :3
