"Katara, You need sleep," I said with a serious look on my face. "I've been awake for a few hours now, I'm not going to leave for another 3 weeks. But you on the other hand need some sleep. You have been up too long worrying about me."

"No, I'm fine really." She said, fighting against her exhausted body.

"Katara." I said, with a begging tone hoping maybe she would give in.

"Aang, What if—What if you are gone again when I wake up? What if you got to sleep again for another week? You can't know that for sure! And , and I just cant let that happen." She said, looking at me with a sad look on her face.

I sighed, exasperated, but then got an idea. "Well if you won't sleep then at least come lay down." I said moving over on the cot I was on.

"No Aang, you are the one recovering, not me. You need the bed." She said sternly.

"Then lay next to me." I said. And it wasn't till a few seconds passed that I realized what I had exactly told her to do. And from that a dark blush appeared on my cheeks. But before I could react she had stood up and walked next to the bed and proceeded to climb in. I guessed that her sleepiness had made her overlook what I had just said and decided to get some rest.

"I'm not going to sleep." She said looking up at me and yawning.

"Okay," I said as I pulled the covers up more around her. She was slightly cold so she snuggled closer to me and into the blankets.

As I put my arm around her I said, "Still not going to sleep?"

"Hmm Nope." She said with tiredness in her voice.

I laid my head on hers and she again snuggled closer. I started humming a soft and sweet melody that I had learned back at the air temples so many years ago, and in a few short moments, she was out. I smiled at her soft sleeping figure and decided I might as well sleep too. So I closed my eyes and fell asleep quickly.
