A/N: I've recently become obsessed with Victorious and after reading some great Cat fics, I decided to give it a shot. This is my first Victorious story, so I'd love to hear you're thoughts!
Winding Off Track Too Fast Too Fast
Roses have thorns and cats have claws and both of them have made her bleed.
Tiny trails of blood dripping down her arm like streets on a map.
Or railroad tracks winding winding and going too fast.
Like a lone bird migrating south. Forgotten. Left behind.
Like soft words sung in an empty room. No one's listening and it's too quite, too loud.
And Tori has a voice that could stop bullets. Soldiers dropping their guns to listen.
Robbie. Such a beautiful smile. Such a wonderful sense of humor. Does anyone notice? Does anyone ever look at his face, not the plastic one he holds in his arm?
And Jade with beautiful eyes. Her beautiful lips. Does Beck know how lucky he is?
She knows.
And she knows that Tori is fully aware of her voice and what she can do with it but she pretends she isn't. And she can be so violent. Like poison on a rose petal. A blade in a butterfly's wing.
And Robbie hides behind a puppet. Always hiding behind something so small.
And there's fear in Jade's eyes. The way she looks at Beck sometimes as if she's waiting for him to leave her and then covers it up with harsh words and sour smirks.
And does she know that Cat sees? Do any of them know how much Cat sees?
She wonders what they see when they look at her. Have any of them ever bothered looking? They wouldn't believe what they'd find.
But they don't try. They never look past the magenta hair and innocent smile. They never see more than a girl that's always dancing, always enjoying. Never see more than a mind that's always somewhere else. Always a beat off from the rest.
A train winding off the track too fast too fast.
A lone bird following her own path.
A song sung in an empty room that no one understands.
