SO THIS IS JUST A LIL ONE SHOT ABOUT THE NO ONE MOURNS THE WICKED SCENE, GLINDA'S THOUGHTS AS THEY TALK ABOUT ELPHABA. I REALLY FEEL BAD FOR GLINDA SHE LOSES HER MAN AND HER BFF SIGH PLZ R&R

Glinda's Pov

Glinda, the good witch of the North watched in disbelief at the scene before her.

It was appalling.

Here were the citizens of Oz, jumping around, ecstatic as they all celebrated the 'Wicked witch's' death while Glinda was mourning it. She wanted nothing more to do then to cry, burst into a fit of tears and to go screaming and yelling at that little farm girl who had killed her best friend. She wanted revenge.

But Glinda knew that deep down Elphaba was certain she had made the right choice, with Fiyero gone Glinda knew that Elphie couldn't live in a world where fiyero never existed and it was a dull glimmer of hope in her heart that some comfort came from the fact that the two lovers would once again be reunited.

As the good witch descended from her bubble to the ground she couldn't help but try to block out the harsh words coming from the numerous Ozians.

"No one cries, they won't return" She overheard a girl scorn. Glinda's cheeks burned in anger. Glinda would cry, and secretly mourn her friends death. She had no idea how she was going to overcome this type of sadness.

"No one lays a lily on their grave" They all murmured.

No, Elphaba never liked Lilly's anyway. They where too common. Irises were her favorite flowers.

Glinda sighed and composed herself, once again filling into the government official role she was to play. All of Oz was happy with the supposedly 'Good News' and so Glinda would have to pretend that she was too.

"The Wicked's lives are lonely...Goodness knows, The Wicked die alone, It just shows when you're Wicked, you're left only... On your own." Glinda replied, half forcing the words out of her mouth, disappointed with her blasphemous lie.

They all cheered in agreement, convinced the the witch had gotten what was coming to her. Glinda couldn't help but sigh and look down on the simple minded people. She thought that maybe if she explained Elphaba's situation to them then maybe just maybe their view about her would change.

Looking out into the crowd of people she smiled warmly and said. "Are people born Wicked? Or do they have Wickedness thrust upon them? After all, she had a father. She had a mother, as so many do..." And then began to divulge into the tale of her friends back story.

The little know affair between the Governor of munchkinland's wife with the ever so famous Wizard Of Oz. The parents shock when they realized the newborns skin and the Fathers instant hatred of the emerald color skin that plagued his daughters body. The friendship between the two girls, and the boy that they had let drive a wedge between them.

And so she had finally concluded the story,Glinda hoped desperately for their new change of heart.

"So you see - it couldn't have been easy!" Glinda explained, clinging onto the thought that instead of a celebration there would be a funeral, that they would seek pity for the misunderstood girl and forget all of her wrong doings but no suck luck was found.

"No one mourns the Wicked!" They cried. "Now at last, she's dead and gone! Now at last, there's joy throughout the land. And Goodness knows, the Wicked die alone.

"She died alone..." Glinda repeated, murmuring the statement to herself. As the realization sunk in.

Elphaba was gone, her best friend, her sister was truly gone.
