At Total Drama Studios in Toronto, a man named Carl Dupont was very hastily gathering up his things, casting a terrified glance at door every few seconds.

"Gotta get out of here, gotta get...if Sherri finds me, she'll—"

"Hello, Carl."

"AGH!"

He screamed, loudly, and spun around to see a petite, middle-aged woman in a red business suit standing behind him. Her arms were crossed and her eyes were shooting dangers from behind her square-rimmed glasses. Carl swallowed hard.

"Ms. DeVille! Hi!" he said, stumbling backwards and hitting his own desk. "I, uh—d-didn't hear you come in."

Sherri DeVille's eyes remained narrow, but her lip curled into a sneer. She began to walk toward him.

"Look, I—I'm sorry about what happened. Really, I am! It was just a—a slight oversight, I didn't mean to—no, Sherri, please—I—no—NOOOOO!"

Courtney growled under her breath, watching as Alejandro, now juggling three eggs, headed toward the tunnel. "Hurry up, Cody!"

"I am hurrying, I just—oh, wait! I found one of yours!"

"And there's one of yours! Okay, quick! We need to catch up, everyone else is already ahead of—"

Both of them jumped as they heard a loud screech split the air.

Cody, who had instinctively shut his eyes, popped one open and began to scan the sky. "What was that?"

A shadow passed over them. Both craned their heads to see what it was.

"Oh...I was really hoping that Chris was bluffing about that," said Courtney.

"CAAAWWW!"

The giant condor was flying toward them, ruffling the grass with each flap of its massive wings. Courtney threw her last egg into the basket and tossed it to Cody, who held it out in front of him and ran, screaming, with her toward the cave.

Sierra had stopped walking, instead sitting on the cave floor and muttering to herself. Heather tapped her foot impatiently, glancing down the tunnel. "Sooo...about how we're quickly losing our lead?"

"grumble grumble Courtney...grumble grumble think she is...grumble most popular story on TDCody-dot-com..."

Heather made a face, but then took a deep breath; if she was going to win this game, she had to make sure that this alliance between Cody and his two girlfriends was broken, with Sierra converted to her side. So she forced a smile, sat down beside Sierra and cozied up to her as if they were friends.

"Look, I know you're upset, but...think of it this way. If you and I win this challenge, then we can team up and get Courtney voted off, right?"

Sierra shot her a look. "Do you think I'm stupid or something?"

"Of course!...not. Look, I know we only have two votes, but think about it—Alejandro's going to vote for me, and Courtney...well, she's probably going to vote for you, the sneaky little witch. And as for Cody..."

She paused, pretending to think. Sierra stared. "Yes?"

"Well...whether or not he votes for you depends on how soon we can free him from Courtney's clutches!"

"He wouldn't!" Sierra said, as though Cody had not, in fact, done it for nearly ever vote in the season thus far.

Heather began to answer, only to look up when she heard footsteps behind them.

Alejandro walked up, juggling his eggs as he went. To her surprise, he met her gaze and flashed his infuriating little smirk.

"Hola, ladies. Am I interrupting something?"

"Get lost!" Heather snapped, but then frowned, looking around; the others followed her lead as a sound echoed through the tunnel.

"Is that another boulder?!" Sierra wondered.

"AAAGGGHHH!"

A screaming Cody ran out of the darkness, crashing into Alejandro and fumbling with his basket to avoid dropping his eggs. Courtney was running behind him, and behind her

"CAAAWWW!"

"AAAGGGHHH!"

A frenzied race ensued, with the five teenagers all trying to push their way to the exit—Alejandro hugged his eggs to his chest and ran, elbowing Sierra aside as he went, as Cody and Courtney managed to race past Heather, who stumbled and fell over Sierra's foot—

After a confused minute, Alejandro managed to rush out into the open air, followed by Cody; Courtney and Sierra briefly got jammed in the tunnel's opening, trying to squeeze out at the same time, but Heather pushed them away, emerging onto one of the island's cliffs.

The five teens all ran right past Chris, who was standing beside a massive bust of Chef, with the real one standing on its other side.

"Man, you guys are really competing!"

The teenagers responded with a chorus of "Close it!"s and "Now!"s. The real Chef, with a casual shrug, knocked his bust over, blocking the cave's entrance—and just in time, too, as they instantly heard a THUD!, with the condor's massive talons, plus a flurry of feathers, emerging from the small areas that the statue couldn't cover.

"Oh, thank goodness," moaned Cody, who was clutching Courtney's arm in fear.

This did not escape Sierra's notice, and she let out a very loud, very dramatic gasp that made everybody, including Chris, Chef and the interns, all turn. Cody quickly released Courtney, who took a step away from him, but the damage was done—nostrils flaring, Sierra grabbed Cody and drew her close to him, ignoring his cry of surprise and shooting Courtney a look that could have melted steel.

Courtney, however, simply grabbed Cody's other arm and pulled him from Sierra's grasp. The small boy drew back in fear as the two girls glared at each other, only to turn around as Chris cleared his throat.

"Well, well, well. What have we here? Anything that you three would like to share with the whole class?"

Courtney put up her nose and turned away as Sierra ground her teeth. Cody pulled on his collar nervously.

Cody: Oh man. This alliance isn't even going to last long enough for us to betray Sierra, is it?

...I probably shouldn't be thinking of it as "betrayal." That's just gonna make me feel guiltier in the long run.

"Ah, well. We may as well move on to the next challenge. Since Alejandro was the first one out..."

He reached onto the ground...then frowned, as there was nothing there. He snapped his fingers impatiently. "OTHER GUY!'

Willy the Intern rushed up, placed something at Chris' feet and then darted away. Chris sighed, turned back toward the camera and then retrieved the item, throwing it to Alejandro.

It was a catcher's mask. "I...have to play baseball?"

"Thankfully, no. You must climb this rock pillar all the way up to..."

Alejandro, and the others, followed Chris' gaze up the forty-foot formation, which was topped by a huge pile of straw with random stone spears sticking out.

"A giant condor nest?" he asked weakly.

"You already know they can get pretty crabby, but did you know female condors are even bigger than the dude-birds?"[1]

As if to highlight his point, there was a loud screech, and the teenagers all looked up and gasped at the massive bird above them, which was flying close enough to the sun to almost block it from view.

"She's ginormous!" Cody cried.

"Yup! Twelve-foot wingspan. See, she's kind of peeved 'cause you guys stole her eggs."

"NO!" Looking up at the bird, Cody pointed wildly at Chris. "It was him!"

"So now you have to try to shimmy up to the nest and give them back, in the order in which you arrived here," Chris explained. "Of course, Mama's got a whole lot more eggs up there, so she's bound to be a tad protective."

The mother condor, now sitting atop her massive perch, screeched so loudly that the ground seemed to shake. Or maybe it was Cody's knees; he couldn't tell.

Heather was watching Alejandro's face closely. "Well, this works out. The rest of us can just wait while she fills up on Mexican food and then climb up once she's full."

To her surprise, the momentary fear had disappeared from Alejandro's face; instead he looked at her for a moment, his eyes steely, and without a word put on his catcher's mask, turning back to look up at the rock tower.

Heather turned away, frowning.

Heather: At some point, did Alejandro forget that he's losing this game? Because I do not like his attitude right now.

"After Alejandro will be Cody, and then...well, Courtney and Sierra came out at the same time, didn't they? So I guess that they'll get to climb to the rock together, while Heather gets to go last. Sound good to everyone?"

All three girls glared, though Sierra, notably, had her gaze directed at Courtney instead of Chris.

"Deposit all three eggs and you win! And if nobody makes it, we'll try again. It's gonna be that much fun," Chris practically giggled. "Oh!" he added, as Alejandro began to make his way to the perch, juggling his eggs once again. "And one more thing."

Alejandro turned around, green eyes testy behind his mask. "Yes?"

DING-DING!

"...Ah. Of course."

"It's for your own protection. Keeps the birds calm," Chris said. Then, after a beat, "I'm lying. Or I'm not. You choose!"

The upbeat music began. It seemed quite in contrast with the dark look in Alejandro's eyes, but he gave a small smile and resumed his path toward the rock, juggling as he went.

"I'm tall,
I'm tan,
I'm young,
I'm handsome..."

"And so modest," Heather grumbled, watching him go. She was frowning deeply.

Cody watched Alejandro climb; he was halfway up the rock pillar, and the viewers below could no longer make out what he was singing. Cody craned his neck. "How is he carrying his eggs?" he wondered. "Did either of you—"

He turned to see the two girls glaring at each other again. "Oh, come on!" he said, inserting himself between them. "Stop fighting, you guys! We're supposed to be in an alliance, remember?"

"HA!" said Sierra.

"Please!" Courtney agreed. "Stop defending her, Cody! Besides, it's not like the two of us will have to put up with her for much longer, anyway!"

"And what is that supposed to mean?!" Sierra asked, leaning past Cody until her and Courtney's faces were almost touching. Cody couldn't help but ease back; the psychotic girl had several inches on both of them.

Courtney opened her mouth to answer, but was cut off by a shout and a THUD. The trio turned to see Alejandro lying flat on the ground, and a moment later, one of his blue eggs followed, splattering on his face.

"No!"

"Next! You're up, Cody!"

The small boy swallowed and picked up his basket, but Courtney caught his hand. "Wait—what about my eggs?"

"Only one of you can take it. No returnsees," Chris said.

"I can't put Courtney's eggs in for her, can I?"

"No! If anything he should take my eggs!" Sierra said. "They are his children, after all!"

"You have your own basket!" Courtney said, motioning to the one tied around Sierra's chest. She turned back to Cody. "I'll just take my eggs—"

"No, it's fine. No, really," he said, removing his purple eggs from amidst the candy. "I'll be alright."

He turned, craned his head up at the massive rock pillar and almost changed his mind. Instead, he sighed, took a deep breath and started to climb, awkwardly carrying his eggs against his chest with one arm as he hoisted himself up with the other.

The music, which seemed to have dipped in volume, now grew louder in Cody's ears. Crap—he'd been so distracted that he forgot to take Alejandro's climb as an opportunity to think of some good lines.

"IIIIIIIII...oh I-I-I...
I've got problems with condors,
Problems with condors,"
he improvised.
Whyyyyyyyyy, oh why-y-y,
Am I not at home, I ponder?"

He managed to reach the top, nearly dropped an egg, but quickly lifted his leg to catch it on his knee; in the process he nearly slipped and fell the whole way down the pillar, but managed to grab one of the craggy spikes of the bird's nest to keep himself up.

Sitting before him was the mama condor. She was...really, really big up close. But her eyes were closed, and from her expression Cody got the feeling that she was enjoying the music. He decided to proceed.

"Trust meeeee, oh trust me-e-e,
I'm your best friend, and I'll
Never eat eggs agaaaiiin!"

Unfortunately for Cody, the condor seemed to take those lyrics as a case of suspiciously specific denial; her expression turned dark, and out of nowhere she suddenly headbutted him in the face. He let out a cry and flew through the air, falling for what felt like an incredibly long distance (one which reminded him of the Australian challenge) before his back slammed into the ground, the grass somehow cushioning him enough to avoid shattering his spine.

SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!

Before his head even had time to stop spinning, one of his eggs erupted on his face, with another hitting his stomach and another landing on the ground beside his ear. Naturally, all three were destroyed.

"Ooh, another contestant over easy! Next!"

Courtney put the basket of eggs over her shoulder and glared at Sierra, who adjusted the straps on hers and glared back.

She considered her situation carefully. First of all, she needed to win this herself—with Sierra and quite possibly Heather or Alejandro against her, Courtney was in serious danger of getting eliminated this round. But even more pressing—she had to make sure that Sierra lost, or else she would get immunity instead.

At that moment, Courtney wanted Sierra out of this game almost as badly as she had wanted Gwen out back in Australia.

"Be careful," Cody moaned from the ground as Courtney strode past on her way to the rocks.

Courtney began to climb, with Sierra right beside her. Both girls worked feverishly, but to Courtney's annoyance, were proceeding together at the same slow pace.

"I'm fighting for Cody so don't be giving me flak—" Sierra began, and whether on purpose of not, elbowed Courtney as she pulled ahead of her. Courtney's eyes widened.

"Even though you're completely—whack!" she invented wildly, and pulled on Sierra's leg—the crazy girl let out a cry, slipped back down to Courtney's level and managed to catch herself; however, she was looking at Courtney with absolute hatred.

"I'll win this game!" Sierra said, and suddenly grabbed Courtney's hair, pulling hard and refusing to let go, even as Courtney cried out and tried to escape her grip. "And watch you take the Drop of Shaaame!"

"AGH! Let go!" Courtney said, even as she grabbed Sierra's long ponytail and pulled herself.

"You first!"

"AGH!"

As the two girls fought, each only holding onto the rock by the fingers of one hand, they suddenly heard a screech. Instantly they stopped their battle and turned.

Mama Condor had alighted from her nest, and was now swooping down toward them, raising her massive talons.

"AAAGGGHHH!"

They each let go of the rock at the same moment and tumbled toward the ground.

One thing that neither had realized, however: Heather had grown weary of watching them fight, and had started to climb up the pillar herself. (Chris had not objected, so she figured he was fine with it.) And unfortunately, she was right below them, so that their flailing bodies smashed right into her, also knocking her down from the climb.

"AGH!"

THUD!

SPLATSPLATSPLATSPLATSPLAT!

The three girls all crashed to the ground in a tangle of limbs, along with all of their eggs.

"Oh, wow!" Chris laughed. "That was unexpected!"

"Courtney!"

Cody, who had been watching all this while wiping egg from his clothes, threw down his towel and rushed to the girls' side. Before he could reach Courtney, however, Heather let out an "UGH!" and pushed her way up from beneath the two others, looking in disgust at the egg all over her halter top.

Standing back was Alejandro, who quirked an eyebrow. "The music has stopped," he noted softly.

"Makes sense, since the competition is over!" Chris said dramatically.

Alejandro grinned. "So I win? I deposited two of my eggs, and none of the others got even one!"

"True...but the rules said that the first person to deposit all three eggs is the winner. And none of you did that. So, I guess that means that none of you get immunity for tonight's vote!"

There was a chorus of objections, but Chris waved his hands, turning to Phil's camera. "You hear that? Tonight we have a special vote! Anyone can go! Stay tuned to see who takes the plunge!"

"I know who I'm rooting for," Courtney growled as Cody helped her to her feet.

Sierra, however, was fixated on Cody as he did this, and particularly on the way that their hands lingered together as Courtney stood. Part of Cody thought that he should release Courtney's hand, to hide this from Sierra, but for some reason he didn't; instead, he just looked away from his fangirl, unable to handle the look of betrayal on her face.

Cody: I have two hot girls fighting over me. This is like...my dream. It's supposed to be awesome. (suddenly begins shaking the camera) WHY ISN'T IT AWESOME?!

"Can you believe that little—absolute psychoI would have won if not for her!"

"Probably," Cody agreed, watching Courtney pace back and forth across Loser Class.

"Oh, I cannot wait to see her get thrown out of this plane! We should have kicked her off a long time ago! She's been nothing but a—huge, psychotic annoyance ever since we started this stupid trip!"

"That's not completely true," Cody found himself saying, almost against his will. "She's helped us out a lot. Even if—"

"What, Cody?! Even if what?!"

He winced as Courtney spun around to face him, glaring daggers. Not for the first time Cody couldn't help but think that, as cute as Courtney looked when she was happy, anger—or at least, this sort of extreme hatred, the same kind that she had had for Gwen—made her look different, ugly and unhinged.

"Are you really this brainwashed just because she offered you some candy?!" Courtney asked, and angrily swiped at the basket sitting beside him; it tipped over, spilling out a collection of wrappers. "And weren't you the one who told that it didn't matter how much someone does for you if they treat you like crap?! So where is this all coming from all of a sudden?"

"I don't know! I just...feel bad for her, I guess." He shrugged helplessly. "Especially since..."

He trailed off. Courtney crossed her arms. "Yes?"

"...Do you remember when Duncan and Gwen kissed back in Area 51? Yeah, I saw that too," he said, as Courtney flinched in surprise. "And every time I think of Sierra, I keep picturing that. As crazy as Sierra is, she really likes me, and I...I know what it's like to lose someone you really like to somebody else. We both do. So as much as I want her gone, I guess I have to admit...I feel kind of guilty about it."

He looked up and met Courtney's gaze; it had softened, but only a little. She spun around.

"You're too nice for your own good, Cody," she said, her tone grim. "Just remember to vote for her tonight."

She turned and marched out of Loser Class, leaving Cody alone. He sighed, pulling his knees up to his chest.

"She's right," he murmured. And obviously, if it came down to her or Sierra, Cody was going to pick the girl that he was dating. (Heh—dating. He was actually dating someone. He couldn't help but grin.) He would just have to choke down his guilt and...

The door opened. Cody quickly dropped his legs back to the floor as Heather came in, looking harassed. She spotted Cody and quickly took on a businesslike expression.

"Cody, good. I need your help."

Cody frowned, instantly becoming guarded. "You do? With what?" he asked slowly.

"I'm hoping to get rid of Alejandro tonight. Can I count on your vote?"

"Huh? But I thought you were voting for—uh, never mind," he said, seeing the curious look on her face.

"So can I count on your vote?"

Cody almost said no, that he had already promised Courtney something else, but decided it would be better to play his cards close to the vest. "I'll...think about it," he said. Then, to end this conversation, added, "I have to go to the bathroom. Be right back."

He got up and left the room, rubbing his chin as he walked slowly down the corridor. Heather was voting for Alejandro? Courtney was convinced that she was gunning for her...he did some quick math in his head. So that meant that Sierra was definitely taking the drop, right? After all, it would be two votes for her against...

Cody stopped walking. He thought for another long moment, and then grinned.

He had an idea. One so good that, without stopping to think of any of its potential flaws, he ran off to the confessional to put it into action.

Alejandro passed as Cody slammed the bathroom door behind him. He, on the other hand, made for Loser Class, where sure enough he found Heather, who had a thoughtful but irritated look on her face.

"Heather. Good. You and I need to have a talk."

"Get bent," she said instantly, and stood up to leave the room.

He grabbed her arm as she went. She turned to him, looking pissed, but he gripped her harder as she tried to pull away.

"Just listen," Alejandro said, and Heather noted that he had none of his usual smugness now. "You're worried about the Courtney/Cody/Sierra alliance just as much as I am, right?"

Heather paused, and Alejandro released her arm. Her pouty expression turned into a smirk. "I have my own way of breaking that up," she said.

"Let me guess: You and Sierra are planning to vote off Courtney. But Courtney and Cody will just vote off Sierra instead."

"So we get a tie, and one of them goes anyway. Or even better, I trick Cody into voting for you, and then Courtney's the definite loser. Either way, problem solved."

"No, it's not." Before Heather could respond, he asked, "Who is the most dangerous member of their little group?"

"Courtney, obviously."

"Are you sure?"

Now he was smirking, and as annoying as Heather found it, she couldn't help but be intrigued.

"Well, who would you say it is?"

A while later, they were all assembled on the bleachers as Chris shuffled through the passports, making exaggerated expressions of interest. Courtney and Sierra were still glaring at each other, and Sierra looked pained whenever she glanced at Cody, who was sitting beside her rival. Cody, while carefully avoiding her gaze, was smiling to himself. Alejandro and Heather were sitting apart from each other, but both were trying to keep their faces blank.

"We got some very interesting results tonight!" said Chris, beaming at the contestants. "In fact, they're so surprising that I decided to let you all see the votes! What do ya think?"

He held his remote up to the TV, which was set up by his podium. Alejandro and Heather shared a nervous look, but Cody grinned, taking this as a sign that his plan had worked out.

The first person to come up was Sierra, who angrily stamped one passport four times before holding it up. Of course, it belonged to Courtney.

"That homewrecking harpy messed with the wrong girl! Get your own man, sister!"

Next was Courtney, who, just as predictably, voted for Sierra.

"That lunatic has been torturing Cody since this season started, but I didn't realize how crazy she was until recently! She needs to leave!"

The real Sierra and Courtney both "hmph!"ed, while the latter turned and quirked an eyebrow at Cody's expression. Meanwhile, Alejandro had come on the screen, and simply stamped a passport before holding it up.

"Cody," he said.

The real Cody suddenly flinched, the smile vanishing from his face. "Huh?"

Next was Heather, who likewise held up a Cody passport.

"As much as I hate to admit it, Alejandro has a point. Get rid of Courtney or Sierra, and half the remaining competitors are still allied against us. But Cody is the glue holding their little group together. No Cody, no alliance, and his two girlfriends can be picked off afterwards."

Cody's face had gone pale, and Courtney was looking at him desperately. "You voted for Sierra, right?" she hissed. "So that you two will at least wind up in a tie-breaker?"

"Um..."

Cody was now on the TV, grinning as he held up his own passport.

"I vote...for myself!"

"WHAT?!" Courtney and Sierra both screamed, as real-Cody moaned and hid his face in his hands.

"Heh-heh, yeah! The way I see it, Courtney and Sierra will vote for each other, Alejandro will vote for Heather and Heather will vote for himI doubt Chris has any sort of five-way tie-breaker planned, so he'll just have to make this another non-elimination round or something! Pretty good strategizing if I do say so myself." He crossed his arms, flashing the camera a cocky, gap-toothed grin. "And besides, it's not like anyone else is going to vote for me this round, right?"

With that, the TV went to static as Cody put his head between his knees.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid—"

"Well, Code-man, you heard yourself! Time to get going!"

Face still turned to the ground, Cody got up and slowly walked over to Chef, who helped strap a parachute to his back. Sierra's mouth kept opening and closing like a dying fish.

"But...but-but..."

Chef opened the hatch, and Cody finally looked up, giving a sad look back at the bleachers.

Courtney jumped up. "Wait!"

Everyone turned, and Sierra made a strangling noise as Courtney jumped down and ran over to Cody, pausing a foot away from him. The wind from outside was whipping their hair in every direction; she was reminded of her last words to Duncan back at his elimination, which felt the same yet also completely different from this.

Courtney wasn't sure what to actually say, but Cody beat her to it. "Sorry," he murmured, not quite meeting her eye. "I know I should have voted for Sierra. I just thought—"

"You really are too nice for your own good," Courtney said without thinking, her voice both angry and pained. "That wouldn't have solved our problems, anyway, just put them off for another round."

"Yeah, I guess." He shrugged. "Are you mad?"

He looked so worried, like a sad puppy...and now he was leaving, Courtney's only friend in the game, and now more than a friend, someone she really...

"No," she said, stepping closer and putting one hand on his cheek. "In retrospect, I should have expected you to do something stupidly kind for someone else. That's what you've been doing this whole game. Including for me."

He gave a nervous smile and finally met her gaze. His blue eyes were as sad as her dark ones, and after a painful moment the two leaned forward—Courtney felt her breath catch in her throat as their lips drew closer, about to touch—

"NOOO!"

Sierra screamed and dove through the air, slamming into Courtney's back—she lurched forward and crashed into Cody, who let out a cry and stumbled back, windmilled his arms, and then fell out of the open hatch, screaming as he vanished into the open sky.

"Cody!" Courtney cried.

Chef slammed the hatch without another word, though, and Courtney lay stunned as Sierra pounded angrily on her back, her anguished sobs echoing throughout the room.

Cody coughed and sputtered, clawing at the canvas, and finally managed to fight his way out of the parachute that was floating with him in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. His clothes and shoes were filled with water, weighing him down; struggling to stay afloat, he looked off in every direction, seeing nothing but water all around him.

He experienced about a moment of terror before he saw it—first a mere dot on the horizon, which soon revealed itself to be a motorboat headed straight toward him. As it got closer, Cody saw that it was flying a Canadian flag, and under it a white one that showed the Total Drama World Tour logo. He held out his arms and waved for it, calling out, and a minute later it was right beside him, with the crew throwing him a life preserver before hauling him on-board.

"We have him," a woman said into a walkie-talkie, then turned to Cody as another crewman put a towel around his shoulders. "Hello, Mr. Jameson-Anderson. Sorry about your loss in the competition."

"Thanks. And for finding me so quickly," Cody said, beginning to dry himself off. The boat, meanwhile, had already started to speed off again. "Uh...where are we going?" he asked, looking out over the water. "Do I...fly back to Canada for the Aftermath shows?"

"That's what happened to the previous contestants, but you'll actually be flying from Easter Island to Hawaii. That's where we're having the last Aftermath and the season finale," the woman explained. "The other contestants are headed there as we speak. Anyway—Chas, take him to get changed, I need to see about the—"

"Oh! Wait, real quick," Cody said, as the woman began to leave, "Ezekiel wound up back there, right?"

The woman paused.

"There have actually been...issues regarding him."

BANG! POW! CRASH! THUD!

Everyone outside of Carl's office kept their eyes on their work, desperately pretending that they didn't hear the violent sounds or the screams that were coming from within. Only one young woman, Leslie, looking completely calm about the whole situation as she stood outside the door, holding a clipboard.

Finally the door slammed open, and Sherri DeVille stormed out, carrying the unconscious Carl by his neck. She stormed over to the stairs, opened the door, and threw him down, where he continued to crash and slam for several seconds. Everybody nearby flinched but said nothing.

Sherri DeVille took a few deep breaths and straightened out her suit. "Leslie, call an ambulance for Mr. Dupont, won't you?"

"Consider it done, Ms. DeVille," said Leslie cheerfully, as she followed her boss down the hallway.

"And what's the news about the Total Drama Jumbo Jet?"

"It is en route to Alberta as we speak. It's scheduled to land at about 6 AM tomorrow."

"Good. Then call and reserve me the company plane." Her eyes narrowed and her face twitched. "It's about time that I have a talk with Chris."

[1] I looked this up; it's not true. But out of all of TD's mistakes, this seems pretty minor.

Author's Notes: I hope that this chapter managed to surprise everyone. I've had this twist planned since the beginning, as I figured this was the best way to keep the last few "episodes" from playing out too much like in canon. If you want a good fic where Cody gets to the finale, I suggest (again) "Candy for Your Thoughts" or "Hawaiian Counter-Punch" by Asher Tye.

I know I always say this, but I hope to update again soon! This fic is seven years old now, so I really need to freakin' finish it already.
