Innocent Little Wonders.

A two chapter story, it can be a Shad/Amy thing, or just a Shad/Amy friendship, I don't care, depends how you look at it. I have writers block for all my other stories and I wrote this thing in 30 minitues in the car in Washington on my way back home. Try to enjoy, flames are aloud, and critques are welcomed as well.

"Oh~ Come on Shadow, lighten up a little. All it is, is Innocent little wonder." Amy commented, nudging the black and red hedgehog lightly in the ribs. Shadow stepped back away from the younger female hedgehog from the sudden contact of her elbow to his ribs and grunted in response.

"Innocent little wonders, Rose? With a laser pointer that has a kaleidoscope?" Shadow commented haughtily, crossing his arms and giving Amy a skeptical look to get the point across that what she was doing, was childish. "Besides, it's childish and immature to be playing with such toy."

Amy's bottom lip quivered lightly at hearing this, Childish? Was being curious about the laser pointer childish and immature? She was trying to impress Sonic by being more mature, not freaking out over the little -as often- and even not chase him -as much-. Was Shadow catching her playing with the laser pointer probably one of the worst things she could've let happen to her? She didn't know, but she felt like she was going to cry.

With a shaky breath, the sixteen year old looked up at the older male hedgehog with shining green eyes. Her heart pounding in her chest, she could only hope that Shadow hadn't heard it. Amy nodded her head once as a farewell and slipped pass Shadow out the door, mumbling an "excuse me" as she went by. Unknown to her though, she hadn't noticed that she let a tear roll down her cheek as it landed before Shadow's shoes.

Once the female was gone from his sight, Shadow looked down at the tiny puddle that formed at the base of his shoe, then he looked up to the metal device that could fit in ones hand if they had held it. It was heavy, it was interesting, and it was what had caused this whole mess in the first place, well that's what Shadow wanted to believe anyways.

Amy had set it down on the small table when Shadow had caught her playing with it in the dark storage room of the school. He inspected the little device and pressed the button, he looked around him in amazment as little green spots appeared up on the wall, he turned the tip of the pen-shaped contraption and his eyes widen slightly as the little green dots had spread father apart then reconnected to make a firework affect. To be honest... It was actually amusing to him in some sorts, but, not funny amusing. Confused amusing.

"Innocent little wonder... Or it's destroyer?" Shadow said aloud taking his thumb off the button that had made the wonder of lights appear. Now understanding what he had done to make Amy cry.
