"Reaching unknown habitable planet"

The automated voice of the pod's computer cut through Bulma's haze as she slowly woke up from the induced sleep, she was in. In her lap her infant son, Trunks squirmed but didn't wake. Bulma braced herself and her son as pod entered the atmosphere. They hit the ground hard as and Bulma could hear the grinding of the metal against the rocky soil before the pod came to a shuttering halt. The door hissed open and the planet's sun temporarily blinded her.

Bulma sat in the pod as her eyes adjusted and she tried to calm Trunks. When the infant's cries died down, she struggled out of the pod after placing Trunks on the seat. She looked around, this planet looked a lot like her home world of Wardrove. Just the thought brought a pang of home sickness. She hasn't seen her home world since she had been given to Prine Vegeta as part of a treaty.

Remembering the Prince, Bulma's thoughts turned to why she was here to begin with. Vegeta's father had put forth a plan shortly after Trunk's birth. As per the tradition, her son would be handed to Frieza as a hostage. Bulma couldn't handle the thought of her son murdering entire planets as his father was made to do so she ran. There was no way she'd let that monster have her son!

Bulma was startled from her thoughts when a twig snapped. Trunks, also startled, screamed louder from the pod. She couldn't believe she forgot to scan for nearby lifeforms.

"W-Who' there!"Bulma shouted over the infant as the rustling got closer.

"Are you okay?" A feminine voice answered back in universal. How did it know Universal?.

A few seconds later a woman stepped out into the open. Bulma was surprised when she saw a feminine creature that looked like a less colorful Wardrovian, almost Saiyan. Strange that so many aliens looked similar, Bulma thought as the creature inched closer.

" Stay Back!" Bulma ordered sternly, mentally activating the scanner in her watch. It indicated that whatever was in front of her was alone, save for non-sentient entities that seem to be avoiding all of them and millions of people some ways away.

The person stopped moving, then spoke. "um, I saw your thing crash into my back yard." It explained, glancing past Bulma to the pod.

"Are you guys okay?" It was clearly acting concerned. "I won't hurt you, my name is Kagome."

Bulma stared for a moment then decided to bite the bullet.

She took a fortifying breath than introduced herself. "My name is Bulma and this is Trunks, my son. Where are we?"

"It's nice to meet you." Kagome said. "You're in the forest behind the Higurashi shrine in Tokyo, Japan."

"What planet is this?" Bulma asked.

"Earth. Would you like to go inside and talk?" She answered.

"That's fine." Bulma answered, she sure wasn't staying outside, Bulma Briefs didn't do outdoors.

She turned and retrieved Trunks from the pod and followed the creature to one of the buildings on the compound.

The house was primitive, mostly wooden, like the other blocky buildings surrounding what appeared to be a huge tree. Once inside Bulma watched Kagome take off her shoes and put on slippers. She followed suit, switching Trunks from one side to another.

They entered another room that had a small, covered table surrounded by brown cushions. "Please, sit." Kagome gestured to the cushion. No chairs? Seriously? Bulma Thought but chose to remain quiet as she sat cross-legged then rested her now quiet son on her lap.

"Would you like something to drink?" Kagome asked. "I'll make some tea."

Bulma watched Kagome prepare a concoction which it placed in front of her. Bulma used her scanner on it and found it safe to consume. She carefully set a sleeping Trunks on the pillow next to her and tried the warm liquid. It was pleasantly bitter.

Kagome then sat across from her with a cup of her own.

"Why did you land on my property?" Kagome asked Bulma once she was comfortable.

"It was what was under the pod when it landed, it wasn't a controlled landing"

A thought occurred to her at the end of her tale, if this was her own world she would be in custody by now. "How did no one else notice my crash?" Bulma asked. The siblings looked at each other then shrugged. "Maybe they thought you were a comet? That is what it looked like." Kagome said.

It wasn't until the evening news they found out she was right.
