Sweat flowed, palms bled.
I want to be seen.
A yell for every strike, a grunt for every blow.
I need to be known.
The wooden pole's surface chips slightly.
I will be acknowledged.
Left. Right. Left.
I can be the best.
Legs, weighed down by weights, lift far above her head.
I will be respected.
Her body turns vertically, her head tucked safely in her belly.
I want to win.
She is airborne.
I am useless.
She crashes into the ground, leaving clouds of brown in her wake.
I am nothing.
Her leg fails her, the ankle has been twisted.
I lack intelligence.
Crystal tears pelt the dirt ground.
I am not beautiful.
A sleeve rips, a stone invokes blood.
I am ugly.
The elbow is caked with dirt and blood..
He is cold.
Opalescent eyes meet her brown ones.
He is talented.
She lays her head on the ground.
He is handsome.
She closes her eyes.
He is acknowledged.
A hand grasps her injured arm.
He is respected.
Water stings her wound.
He is rigid.
Her elbow is bandaged.
He is beyond me.
A hand is on her shoulder.
He is caged.
Another hand is on her waist.
He is prejudiced.
Something lifts her up.
He is beautiful.
Gentle fingers pry open her eyes.
He is Human.
She stands on her own.
I am strong.
Palms are bloodied once more.
I am seen.
Each strike and blow result no sound.
I am known.
A deep crack forms on the wooden pole.
I am acknowledged.
Left. Right. Left. Jump.
I am the best.
