Sleep well, oh caffeine deprived.

The team approached Gibbs' desk cautiously. They had never seen their fearless leader in such a vulnerable position aside from when he was in a coma. They knew they should be finishing up their paperwork but none of them could take their eyes off of him.
Gibbs was asleep.
It had been a long day but the case was solved now and all that was left for them was paperwork and going home to catch up on some much needed sleep. It looked like Gibbs couldn't quite make it that long.
Abby skipped into the bullpen.
"Hey guys!" She chirped.
All three agents spun around and gave her a glare Gibbs would be proud of.
"Shh, Gibbs fell asleep." Tony whispered to her. There was a certain amount of awe in his voice like he still couldn't wrap his mind around the fact that the boss had actually fallen asleep on his desk.
Abby's eyes widened as she made her way up to the desk to see for herself. She looked like she could barely contain herself. She was bouncing up and down on her toes and looking as if she was doing all she could do to keep from squealing.
"Awwww." She finally let out in a quiet whisper.
Tony and Tim glanced at each other. Their confusion was clearly evident on their faces.
Ziva tilted her head and pursed her lips. After a moment, she nodded thoughtfully, as though agreeing with Abby's "assessment."
All four heads snapped up instantly when they heard someone clear their throat behind them. Slowly, they turned around to see Vance looking very amused at their antics.
He chuckled to himself and removed his ever-present tooth pick.
"I thought I might let you know that the maintenance team has promised that the coffee machine would be fixed and fully functional by tomorrow afternoon. From the looks of it, it was dearly missed today." He informed them with a smile in his voice, "Now go home, get some real sleep."
They all glanced back at Gibbs and Vance could see their reluctance to leave their leader in such a helpless position.
They were still in the middle of deciding their response to the dilemma when Ducky arrived in the bull pen with is coat and hat on. "You heard the director; go home. I'll take care of Jethro."
He heard a collective sigh of relief from the agents. They hustled around and assembled their things and scurried off to the elevators. Vance smiled at Ducky and returned up the stairs to finish up before heading back to his own home. Ducky smiled and laughed under his breath.
"Jethro, you can go home now." He said to the exhausted team leader. Just as Gibbs started to stir, the elevator doors opened and allowed the tired medical examiner to step inside.
"Sleep well, my friend." He mumbled to himself as the doors closed.
A/N: I hope you liked it; I had a lot of fun writing it. Please review and God Bless.
