After so many nights, the moon finally came out.

A slow smile made its way across my face as I stared at the glowing light of it through my window.

She'd probably be looking at it too, if only she was here.

I tiptoed out of my room, down the stairs, then outside into my lawn.

Quietly sitting down on the grass, I looked at the sheer shine of the moon. And if I tried really hard, I could almost feel her sitting next to me.

God was a cruel man to have called her up to him. But, he probably needed a beautiful angel up there.

I closed my eyes and heard it all again. Just today with Tawni on the phone. She'd called me to tell me that my angel was gone.

A salty tear made its way out of my closed eyes and down my cold pale cheeks as an image of her laughing entered my mind. Another tear, then another.

But, no. I shouldn't cry. She wouldn't have wanted that.

Never again would I hear Sonny Munroe's laugh.

Never again would I see her sparkling brown eyes.

Never again would I talk to her.

Never again would I see her.

And, I wasn't able to control the tears this time. I cried and it felt good.

Suddenly, I felt rain drops on my face. Along with that, a warm breeze.

I could feel it. She was here, she was with me. I looked up at the sky, not caring that cold, wet raindrops were getting into my eyes.

"I-I love you Sonny Munroe. I swear, I'll never forget you."

If only I could go back into the past, I'd whisper in her ear…

…oh darling, I wish you were here.
