"Roy?" I looked up from my pile of paperwork and saw Ed standing in the doorway. It was snowing outside and he was looked as if he had just come in. He wore a heavy red coat lined with fur and had a scarf wrapped around his neck.
I smiled at the blonde and motioned for him to come in. I stood and went to him, he was still shivering slightly so I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him lightly on the forehead.
"What can I do for you Ed?" he blushed and a small giggle escaped his slightly blue lips. Suddenly his body twitched and he placed his hand over his chest.
"Roy," he had an embarrassed look on his face and his blush deepened, becoming a bright red. "I have the h-hup-hiccups." I stared at him for a moment as he hiccupped a few more times. I laughed loudly when he got an annoyed look in his golden eyes and glared at me.
"Well! Aren-hup-t you going to do some-hup-thing?" he screamed and I couldn't help but laugh more. Everytime he jumped with a hiccup his face would scrunch up in the most adorable way.
"But Ed," I snickered, earning another heated glare "I'm having so much fun!" I burst out laughing when he raised his hand to hit me in the arm but was stoped by another hiccup.
"STOP LAUGH-HUP-ING!" he screamed and I held my sides and tried to calm my laughing fit. I felt a stitch forming in my gut and could barely breath. No matter how long we have been together, Ed never stops making me happy, he always makes me love him more with the smallest things that he does.
Another three hiccups later and I was rolling on the floor with an aggravated Ed standing over me with a pissed aura around him. Suddenly his eyes softened and giggled, a small musical sound that never ceased to amaze me.
"I love it –hup- when your like this." All I could do was roll around more, he had such a serious expression yet was hiccupping every few seconds now. It was hilarious.
Me rollin around and holding my sides only seemed to make Ed laugh more. He was laughing and hiccupping al at the same time and soon enough both of us were having laughing fits and rolling around on the floor like children.
Suddenly the door slammed open and a furious Hawkeye was standing in the door way watching us. "GET BACK TO WORK!" she raised her gun and aimed it directly at us. We both sat up startled and stared in horror at the gun that was pointed at us. Hawkeye glared and we cowered.
I got up and quickly ran t my desk, Ed doing the same but heading to the couch to look over some work I had left there for him. When the door was finally closed and Hawkeye gone we breathed a sigh of relief.
"Roy." Ed smiled, flashing me a toothy grin "I don't have hiccups anymore." I stared at him for a moment before breaking out into laughter again.
I suppose Hawkeye can even scare hiccups away.
