The sunset had never been more beautiful. The world seemed to glow around them in pinkish hues, and Aang wondered if this was what Ty Lee had always meant about her aura being pink when she was so happy. Ba Sing Se seemed to radiate with the joy and peace of the people within, and he watched the world from the balcony of the Jasmine Dragon, proudly wearing his newly-tailored Air Nomad robes, perfectly accomodating his tattoos. Aang smiled.

The war was finally over.

Even one hundred years late, he had managed to finish it once and for all, the right way. The sunset reflected in his stormy grey eyes, just missing them as he turned his head at the sound of soft footsteps. In front of him stood something even more beautiful than the sunset: a fourteen year old waterbender in an Earth Kingdom dress. Katara.

Aang held in a gasp at the sight of her. The floral green and white dress hugged her curves in the most complimenting way, her hair tied back and held with a soft pink flower, her ocean blue eyes gleaming, reflecting the colors in the most rainbotic way his own eyes had ever seen. She was truly something to behold, and he could hardly keep himself from crashing his lips to her own soft, light pink ones.

Katara and Aang turned and looked at eachother admirably, before simultaniously pulling the other person into a tight hug. Aang slid his eyes open and smiled softly, and though he could not see it, he somehow knew Katara had done the same. After relishing in the feeling of eachother's warmth, they pulled out of the hug and stared out at the huge city before them for a while.

She wasn't quite sure what exactly pulled her to do it: His warmth, his eyes like storm clouds, his soft scent or just the feeling of having him in her arms, but Katara couldn't resist the urge, and so she turned to face him, and he faced her. For a moment, they both just smiled for a moment. And then the moment he had been waiting for since they met.

Katara leaned in, and both their eyes slid shut. Aang's heart skipped a beat at the wait - A few seconds felt like an eternity before her lips crashed with his. She wrapped her arms around him and leaned more into the kiss. No words were spoken. No talking was needed. Katara basked in the heat of his body, still a bit smaller than herself but perfect.

And as for Aang, he knew now that things would be better. He finally had her, and the world was safe. It was the perfect, silent 'The End'.
