Harry stared over at Hermione, her downcast eyes as the radio played on. She stared at the ground, fidgeting with her hands.

He didn't know what else he could do, so he stood and offered her his hand. She looked up at him, puzzled, the seconds hung in the air as her gaze flitted from his face back to his hand.

Harry felt the red rising in his cheeks as he understood that he was being rejected and was he decided to pull his hand away. Then there was a feeling, skin on skin, he looked to see Hermione's little hand in his and he gulped, pulling her up.

There was no smile on her face however; she looked at him, as if pleading him to do something. He led her out to the less cluttered area of the tent, and he took her other hand, smiling at her.

She gazed blankly back, and then he began to move with her, doing a small jig. Her hands were limp in his but he wasn't deterred. Repeating the jig, her arms stiffened up a bit and she moved with him, he smiled wider at her, encouraging in his body language.

Hermione thought that they looked like a pair of dancing idiots, not even keeping time with the music. She looked at the two of them dancing and couldn't stifle a laugh, and Harry rewarded her with a silly spin and twirl.

The two got more and more ridiculous as they became giddier from the relief of having the events from the last few days melt away with the music. She spun around Harry, grasped his hand, smiling wider with each moment on the floor. Then Harry yanked her close and the two rocked and swayed, Hermione blissfully oblivious to everything going on as she laid her cheek on her friend's shoulder.

Harry was very aware that the song had stopped playing and the pair were still very close, he felt Hermione's body touching his, her chest expand with her quiet breath of air. Her breath was warming his shoulder and they stopped swaying, each now painfully conscious of each other. Hermione looked at him, smiling and playfully adjusting his glasses and without thinking, Harry kissed her.

The kiss wasn't long; he pulled away right after, leaving her in his arms, staring at him. But she then carefully stood on her tip toes and kissed him again, wrapping her arms around his neck, bringing him down to her.

The held that for several moments more, before she stopped, stepping away from him. Harry looked at her, unsure of what to say, but she smiled at him. "Thank you Harry." She said simply, walking towards the direction of her room.

The boy watched her disappear, only to see her come running back into the room with an embarrassed grin and kiss him again, this time he picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist. There was a tug on the collar of his shirt and a shy smirk from Hermione and he carefully began walking in the direction of her room, never releasing her lips.
