Percy's POV

Okay, Annabeth's gonna be a goddess now. That's great! I'm only going to see the girl that broke my heart into tiny little painful pieces everyday of my immortal life now. That's fun.

I realized she was probably waiting for me to reply to her... shocking(?) news.

I decided on the words, "Oh uh. Yeah, Great! That's really... uh... great."

Her nose wrinkled at my very thinly veiled lie.

"Anyway, I was supposed to come get you, because you're needs on the council," she said awkwardly.

"What? I am? Why?" I muttered, confused.

"They promoted you to one of the Olympians. Didn't someone tell you?" She replied.

"Aphrodite told me they were considering it, but I didn't think they'd actually do it."

"Weird... So do you want to head down there now?"

"Oh yeah, sure" I replied, and we started on our way to the council meeting.

"By the way, I really wanted to apologize to you and everyone I've ... lead on over the last few weeks. I really don't know where my head's been at. It's just ... it's been 3 years since I've dated and I need to ease into it, you know? That's difficult to do when people keep throwing themselves at me. And there's the whole thing with me and you to think about. Anyway, I feel like I've been a jerk and I'm sorry," I said, rambling through my sentences.

She paused and I stopped walking.

"What girls throwing themselves at you?" She asked, furrowing her brows in confusion.

"It's a long story, but I've done things that I regret and also that I can't really rationalize." I explained, awkwardly rubbing the back of my neck.

She didn't move for a little while after that, but later said. "We're gonna be late. Let's just go."

Annabeth's POV

We walked into the throne room, the huge doors shutting behind us.

"Our apologies Lord Zeus, for being late. We got caught up in a discussion," Percy explained. I watched the smiles of some of the goddesses in the room falter.

"You are excused. We needed you both here to announce that the two of you will be promoted to Olympian status. We were planning only to promote Lord Perseus, but it was brought to our attention by Lady Athena that there would be a large imbalance on the council if we didn't add another goddess. Congratulations to you both," Zeus said and at the end of his spiel the other deities in the room clapped and smiled at us.

"You are dismissed," Zeus finished.

I smiled as everyone prepared to leave and figured things were going up for me today.

*The Next Day, around midday*

I was back at Camp Half Blood, preparing myself for the move to Olympus. I was still giddy from the meeting and some of the other campers were preparing a send off party for me.

"Hey Annabeth, or should I say Lady Annabeth" I turned just in time to see the speaker, Danny, bow to me.

"Oh quit! Don't be ridiculous. I'm still just like you, only more awesome and powerful" I said responded.

"Wow! Are you the goddess of humility or what?"

"Very funny. It's Architecture," I answered.

"Geez, they really jipped you with the whole humility thing, huh?" He said beaming at me and pulling me into a long hug.

"Definitely. You know they added me to the Olympian council?"

"No way! That's awesome... But don't you think things will be uncomfortable between you and Percy?" He pondered.

"Honestly, I think Percy and I are in a pretty good place now, finally," I said, huffing in relief.

"Oh great, I'm happy for you," I could see that he was, but there was a definite twinge of dissappointment. I hesitated.

"I don't really think he sees a chance for us to be anything, though" I said scanning his face for changes. Danny just nodded.

"Well, everyone's waiting for you at the send off. Wanna walk together?" He offered.

"Absolutely," I replied.

Leo Valdez's POV

It was about 3 and a half years after the end of the Giant War, when Percy Jackson contacted me again, all holy and what not.

"Hey dude, What's up? Where've you been?" I said.

"Mostly Olympus," Percy replied, jokingly. I could still see that something was heavy on his mind though.

"You okay? You seem different. Like bad different."

"Well, as you've probably heard by now, Annabeth and I broke up a while ago. It's been pretty hard for me to get back out there, but things are pretty complicated. Any way are you going to her send off?"

"I was planning to, but I heard bad things happen when you blow off a god who visits you." I said nudging his arm. He smiled.

"You heard about that?" He replied.

"Of course, everyone's talking about it! Jason, Nico, and I were actually talking about it earlier. We should all hang out soon. We miss you." I said trying to keep the conversation off of Annabeth. "Or do you have tons of godly responsibilities that need tending to?" I finished.

"Tons, but I've never been one to be held down responsibilities," he said smiling.

"Of course not. It'll be great to have you back." "

"Okay.. So this'll be kind of personal, but have you ever really need to get over someone?" Percy asked, " and like... how'd you do it?"

I paused for a second.

"Yeah, I've definitely had to get over people before. I think it depends on who the person is and the reason you're trying to get over them... and maybe a little about how much they mean to you now."

"They mean a lot," he said uncomfortably.

"It's just about trying to put the most important things and people to you first" I replied sympathetically, "things tend to fall into place after you've got all your mental ducks in an imaginary line"

"What if I do that and It doesn't work?" He pondered

"Well then, I guess you're screwed."

Whoa, you guys I updated this. I haven't done that in, like, two years... Sorry. I really don't know how long this is gonna take to really wrap up nicely, but I like to think it's getting there. Or at least it should be after 27 chapters. Anyway thanks for sticking with me. Love you guys. :-)
