Sometimes he reminds her of the small bits of happiness she had had as a child; those brilliant gold pieces of sunshine and the boy who could fly. Sometimes he makes her nervous. Sometimes he makes her laugh. Sometimes he scares her.

Something. Something she doesn't even fully understand. She just knows with the certainty of a child and the determination of an adult that she wants something from him. That she wants to stay by his side, that she wants to know every side of him there is to know, that she wants…that she…

They're dangerous words to even think, let alone say aloud.
