Part 2

Curt jumped out of seat and ran for the door where the man stood. Everyone else continued to greet him. I glanced up and down every now and then from my book to look at him.

He looked around the room and stated, "I recognize everyone but her," he then pointed at me. "Is she new?"

Almost everyone nodded. He walked up to me and introduced himself, "My name's Blaine." He then held his hand out to shake; I shook it and replied quietly, "Tanya."

Mr. Shuester then walked in, "I suppose you all have greeted Blaine by now. He probably told you already told you all that he has transferred here."

"Alright which group would like to sing today?"

Mercedes and Sam stood up got ready. Mercedes began:

Lying here with you so close to me

It's hard to fight these feelings

When it feels so hard to breathe

I'm caught up in this moment

I'm caught up in your smile…

Then Sam sang:

I've never opened up to anyone

So hard to hold back

When I'm holding you in my arms

They both sang suddenly:

We don't need to rush this

Let's just take it slow…

Just a kiss on your lips in the moonlight

Just a touch of the fire burning so bright

No I don't wanna mess this thing up

No I don't wanna push too far

Just a shot in the dark that you just might

Be the one I've been waiting for my whole life

So baby I'm alright

Just a kiss good night

They carried on with the song until it ended, and everyone cheered. The two hugged each other and smiled. It seemed everyone was clueless except for me. It was totally obvious that they were dating. I decided I wouldn't bug them or tell anyone. It wasn't any of my business anyways.

I walked out of the school towards my 'bike'. Arty shouted, "Tanya, wait up!"

I stopped and turned around; he rolled towards me at an amazing speed.

"Hi," I said quietly.

He grinned at me, "Where's your ride?" He asked.

I pointed towards it.

"Sweet! Unfortunately I can't drive or even ride behind someone on a motor bike."

"I gotta go to work, I'll see you tomorrow," I said in little 'chopped up' pieces.

I waved good-bye and drove off.

The next day I came to school with a cart my mom had in storage. It attached to the side of the bike and had a ramp. It was a little bigger than a wheel chair. I saw Arty across the parking lot and called him over.

"What's this?"

"Before my parents got divorced my dad gave me this for when I got my bike. It allows me to carry more around and it's also large enough to carry a wheel chair. You can call your dad and tell him you have a ride home."

"Really, you'll give me a ride?"

"Sure, why not?"

I grinned and we walked and rolled off towards the school.
