AN: Since Chord is no longer going to be on Glee, I'm assuming that they're just going to say Sam moved away. Poor Mercedes :( She just never gets it right. Anyways, this is just a drabble I wrote about that.

Lots of Love,

She did it. They fucking did it, and now he's gone.

Gone. Another state, with no Internet access, no cell phone, not even an address.

Florida wasn't that far way, she tried to tell herself. Honestly, he could've been in Siberia, and it would've been the same.

He was the one. She knew it as soon as they started going out. Sam actually got her to drop her sassy cover up. Sam loved her, curves and all. He was a dork, but that was okay. Mercedes loved him for it.

When that adorable trouty mouth looked up at her mid-make out session and asked if she was ready to take that next step, Mercedes couldn't say no. Her parents were out for the night, and Sam said he had condoms. It happened quickly. Clothes were shed, their lips never parting. Before long, Sam slipped inside of Mercedes.

Okay, it wasn't as amazing as she thought it would be. At least, sensation wise. But, it was still magical. Because she was with him. Sam. The boy that she loved.

Yeah, she loved him. A lot. Mercedes didn't want to sound cliché, but everything was right when she was with Sam. It was like nothing in the world mattered, because Sam was all she needed to be happy.

Mercedes had never felt that way before. Don't get it wrong, she got along with Kurt very, very well, and he was her best friend. But, it was different. Then, of course, there was her brief relationship with Puck sophomore year, but Mercedes did not want to count that.

It had been such a tearful goodbye. Mercedes had gone to the Evan's house (Well, motel, but that wasn't relevant) to bid the family farewell. It was awkward at best. Sam's family was sitting in the car a few feet away, and Stacy and Stevie were watching intently from the small window of the Buick.

He had her number written down on a wrinkly piece of paper, which Sam was moving in between his long fingers. He promised to call as soon as he had a phone. After a long hug, and a quick kiss, complete with disapproving looks from Sam's mother. She didn't think that Mercedes was good enough for her little boy. Sam didn't care.

Teary eyed, the blonde haired boy got into his car and slammed the door. He, Stacy, and Stevie all waved at once. Mercedes waved back, and tried to put a smile on her face. She hated crying.

But sometimes, she just couldn't help it. As soon as the car was out of view, Mercedes sprinted back to her own vehicle, and sobbed. She sobbed. And sobbed. Until her mom called her, saying that she had to be back for dinner.

No one got it. Rachel had tried to compare Mercedes' break up with Sam to her brief fling with Jesse. But, it wasn't the same. Tina had tried to sympathize; saying that she couldn't imagine what she would do if Mike had to move away. But, she didn't really get it. Kurt said that Mercedes just needed to move one. So, despite Mercedes' unending protests, he set her up with a guy Finn had met during summer football camp.

Yeah, Bubba was a good guy. He was sweet, and he brought her flowers, and wasn't afraid to hold hands with Mercedes in the hallways, even if it meant taking a few slushies in the face. But, he was no Sam.

There was only one Sam. And he was in some house. In Florida. Thousands of miles away. She was never going to see him again. Sam. The boy she loved. Not Bubba, not her best friend Kurt, and certainly not Puck. Her true love, the kind that comes once in a lifetime. Sam.
