I had started this at the end of May and finished it by the beginning of June. Was thinking of holding off posting it so that I can add more chapters along with it. I'm still working on them.

I don't own anything.

Date Night

Gilbert rarely dressed up. Even for special occasions, he dressed normally than any of the stuck-ups he'll unpleasantly meet. Hell, just for giggles he dressed up in his military uniform at a few of Roderick's recitals. The only time he actually dressed up formally was at one of Bobby's plays. Ludwig had taken pictures and framed them all over the house.

Tonight, however, Gilbert has made an exception for Kyouko. It has been a long time since they've talked. Twenty-three years, to be exact. Of course, seeing him there all dressed up surprised the black-haired woman.

"My, my. Is this all for me?" she teased as Gilbert sat down at their table. Gilbert chuckled. "Maybe," he teased back, making Kyouko blush.

"Nice to see you haven't changed, Gil."

"Same. Oh! And congrats on finally leaving that dirt bag."

Kyouko chuckled. "Thank you."

A waiter then came by to take their order. After ordering the two talked about their lives the past twenty-three years. Gilbert, of course, kept his true identity and work out of it.

"Oh? And how old are your children, Gil?"

"Well, Bobby just turned seven a couple months ago and Judo is five. He'll be six by December."

"A year apart, huh? When you talked about them, it sounded like they were twins."

Gilbert chuckled. "Yeah. Though, Bobby is actually my biological daughter. I adopted Judo about, say, two years ago."

"You're married?"

"Nah. Still single."

"Ah. Well, either way your children are lucky to have you."

"And Ludwig," Gilbert added.

Kyouko smiled. "Still living together?"

"Yeah. I did try, though, to live on my own when Bobby was three. Unfortunately, some jerk ruined it. Now we live with Ludwig. Tried living with Roderick, but his ex-wife wasn't much of a good babysitter."

"Sorry to hear that. How is Roderick, anyway? Did he get that studio he wanted?"

Gilbert shook his head. "Nah, he didn't. The guy who was selling the studio was a huge bigot."

"How so?"

"He thought my brother was with our Italian friend. Feli is just very affectionate, so it wasn't his fault."

"Sorry to hear that."

"So how 'bout you?"

"Me? Well, I've had three kids; a single boy and twin girls. They're not as young as yours, though. Makes me feel old, to be honest."

Gilbert chuckled. "Sorry about that. Bobby came as a surprise to me, honestly. Anyway, how old are they?"

"Well, my son is ironically twenty-three and my girls are fifteen or so."

"Fifteen or so? Ah! Adopted?"

"You could say that," Kyouko said with a sigh. She had a sad look. Gilbert was about to ask when suddenly Kyouko widen her eyes looking past him. Before he could look, two arms wrapped themselves around his neck.

"Hello, Gil-chan~."

Sorry for the wait, guys. Anyways, got some notes here for this chapter. At first I was gonna describe more on Gilbert's kids, but couldn't find a way to fit it in.

Kyouko is not an OC. At least I don't think she is. I've found on an anime wikipedia for Izaya that his mother's name is Kyouko. I have never read the manga or these light novels that I hear about. Apparently a light novel is different from a manga. I've only seen the anime, which I may have to rewatch to keep up. I also hear that there's a second part to the anime. May have to watch that, especially since I'm hearing that Mikado is becoming an evil little shit.

I've also read somewhere that the twins may not actually share the same mother as Izaya. I think the site mentioned they're half-sisters to him. I'll actually believe this mainly because of what Izaya told Rio about his father. He was probably trolling her, though.

In chapter five I had mentioned a possible relation with Namie. Y'all may ignore this as Gilbert will be interacting with everyone. Also, I noticed I put 'Sorry to hear that' twice in different moments of conversations. Sorry for repeating it. Plus, women can chuckle, too. I don't giggle. I actually straight out laugh.

Anyways, negativity will be forever ignored but corrections/improvements are welcomed.
