Hermione rolled her eyes as the 'I Love Cedric Fan Group' swooned after their number one TriWizard competitor. 'God, if it's not them it's the Viktor fan group or the Harry hate group,' she sighed putting her books into her messenger bag before standing to go up to the Gryffindor tower.

Hermione stood waiting for the staircases to change so she could get up to the Common room while thinking about the conclusion to her latest potions essay. She was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of someone running '9 o'clock at night; you really don't have to be running anywhere.' She thought.

Suddenly Cedric Diggory was standing in front of her cheeks flushed, breathing labored. "Do me a favour?" He asked leaning against the handrail of the landing they were on.

"If it's about you're troubles with running long distances I'm not athlete but-" she was cut off by his lips on her and her hands were suddenly crushed between their chests. His hands were on her hips and his tongue tried to pry apart her lips which eventually gave way.

Suddenly she heard a chorus of gasps and giggles. "Cedric and Hermione, who would've guessed, the uptight nerd and the star," someone said as the group of fan girls retreated.

Cedric pulled his lips from Hermione's and looked down at her, his breathing now even more laboured. "Maybe we could have a real kiss sometime." He murmured brushing his thumb over lips. "Come find me in the basement sometime." He winked at her before giving her one last peck on the lips. He released her hips and ran off down the stairs.

Hermione had missed her staircase twice and her lips were now swollen and pink but she was happier than she had ever been before. Letting out a very un-Hermione like squeal and dancing around on the landing.
